I would strongly advise anyone thinking of using Promac Paints to carefully go through the negative reviews before making a decision — they reflect the reality of the product. I app**** their “liquid rubber” coating to a brand-new roof, following all their guidelines exactly. The work was done by experienced professionals, not a DIY attempt, so there was no room for incorrect application. Despite this, the product began failing in less than six months. The coating has become brittle, started cracking, and is now peeling off in multiple areas. As a result, I am left with: • A compromised and unsightly roof finish • The need to redo the entire job • A financial loss exceeding R65,000 What is even more frustrating is the lack of after-sales support. There has been no meaningful assistance, no accountability taken, and only delays and empty responses. For something advertised as a long-lasting and durable solution, this performance is extremely disappointing. ⚠️ Advice to others: Do not rely solely on marketing claims. Take the time to research and read customer experiences — there appears to be a consistent pattern in the complaints. I have full photo and video evidence showing the installation process and the product failure for anyone who needs proof. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Promac Paints or their products.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We do metal works and have been doing metal works for more than 30 years. We have always prided ourselves on only using the best products and giving top notch service. We were told by a supplier that this paint is top quality. We were given instructions on how to use and did so. It wasn't even a month later when the client let us know the product was rusting through. Sending pictures to us as well. We had to spend another R9000 to go fix the problem and completely overhaul the items. When we told the supplier, they got feedback from Promac Paints that we, the client must have app**** it incorrectly. More than 30 years of experience and they want to tell us we app**** it incorrectly. Utter *******. Will never recoomend this product to anyone again.

I would like to share my disappointing experience with Promac Paints regarding a warranty claim for their roof paint. The product was purchased in June 2023 from Builders Warehouse, Klerksdorp, and came with a 12-year guarantee. Despite following all the manufacturer’s application instructions and preparing the surface professionally (as confirmed by Promac’s own assessor, Joshua), the paint started fading within 1.5 years. When I contacted Promac Paints for support, they required proof of purchase (a till slip or warranty registration). Unfortunately, my client, assuming the 12-year guarantee would suffice, discarded the slip. I reached out to Builders Warehouse to retrieve the proof, but they informed me that their system only retains invoices for three months, leaving me unable to produce the original proof. I even provided alternative proof, including the transaction amount (R3,087) from the ABSA bank credit card statement used to purchase the product, but this was not accepted. Promac Paints’ lack of flexibility and unwillingness to honor their warranty based on available evidence has caused financial losses for my business and harmed our reputation. As a professional painting service, I trusted Promac Paints to uphold their warranty commitment. However, their rigid policies and lack of support have left me feeling frustrated and let down. I believe this situation highlights a need for more customer-focused service and better transparency in resolving warranty claims.

Promac Paints Gloss Enamel 5L - Dark Admiralty Grey Bad coverage -paint colour and solvent don't mix well it's more oil in the bucket and not enamel paint, the paint colour and solvent seperate and don't mix well no matter how long your stir it. we opened the paint and tested it on a small part of the door frame and didn't use it further after seeing that it's not covering properly as they advertised,I send it back to Takealot because it means it's defective cause it doesn't do the work they promise,And now they refuse to refund me saying I opened the product but how else would I have known that their paint is a bad quality if I had not opened it to test it. The paint was not used the bucket is still full we just tested it on a small area.
