Love the quality of the ingredients. Always nicely packed and stays fresh according to their notes as to "eat' within the amount of days as on their website and the packages. Now my husband enjoys cooking. He likes to cook when it is with Ucook.
Literally love everything about them. Now and then I wouldn't mind a few more recipes for the carb conscious or low calories. But that is also understandable that they can't have too many recipes/order since they also have to order. And everything is always very good quality and fresh. Delivery is always hassle free. Only one thing I sometimes make the mistake of only ordering 2 meals for 1 week. It is sooo nice to have everything at home and not forgetting an item to buy at the shop and get stuck on your recipe.
I have been a happy Siemens APPLIANCE client for 20 years. 4 months ago I bought a brand new built in coffee machine, the other one stayed behind in the house we sold. I think that was a big mistake. Although that one had already brewed a heck of a lot of coffees for us, a few simple repairs, as in a new grinder, and it worked like a charm again. This machine already started giving us problems after 3 days. They have been trying to fix it 4 times (if not 5) in the 2 months that I have been trying to use it. The supposedly expert repair manager came down from Jo'burg to sort it out. Or so he thought. Got it back on the Friday. Gave same old error on Saturday morning. That left when we filled the water tank again. Gave message to descale, which we had done not even 2 weeks ago. Can't get passed step 6 of 8. Now the lady from head office thinks I don't know how it works. Everything is explained on the display in any case. And it definitely isn't my first built in coffee machine. We already had one 28 years ago. Still waiting for an EXCHANGE of this machine... Doesn't seem to be resolved any time soon. Initially the girl from head office, Aziza, authorized an exchange, now she just keeps delaying the exchange.
I only have praise for Old Mutual Insure itself. Although their menu on the telephone is very confusing. If you want to book a driver or chauffeur service you need to click option 1 for emergency. BUT if you want to book a driver/chauffeur service... Then you need to book at least 2 hours before. I didn't do that because my previous experiences, yes more than 1... was that if you book a few days beforehand they won't come to pick you up. So after 25 min, had to phone back because the one that promised to phone me back never did, on the telephone I was promised a driver to pick us up in Stellenbosch. I couldn't book a return I was told because you are only allowed to book 1 way per day! Interesting. How do you get back if they picked you up? So a note of warning, don't count on their complimentary chauffeur service. A very sad thing. The policy shows you are entitled to something, but it doesn't work at all. Maybe Old Mutual Elite needs to take it out of the policy and rather give discount for something they can't promise because it doesn't work.
We are Elite members with Old Mutual, which gives us the right to use a "free" chauffeur service 12x a year. You can either be driven (home) in your own car or make use of one of the chauffeurs driving their own car. 2x now it took over 10 minutes to get to speak to an agent. 2x now, it hasn't been booked properly. They have 2x booked a ride for the day I made the call. The last time I phoned at 10 at night for the next day. The next day I phoned half an hour prior to our requested pick up time. Says the agent: No, it was booked for yesterday 9 pm. And we phoned 10 pm!! What a miracle... So we had to drive ourselves instead of having the luxury to be driven by the so-called free service they provide. Very sad.
A few weeks ago I bought a new battery at Watch Republic in Access Park. After a few days it started to stop and then it worked for a few hours after I turned it to the correct time and then it would stop again. I sent it to the Head Office in Paardeneiland, Cape Town via courier. They said it could be a faulty battery or that the movement needed replacement. They first put in a new battery and the repairs supervisor Zeenith kept it on his desk to see if it would keep time or not. Fortunately it did. The repairs supervisor kept me up to date with the progress via email. I sent a copy of the slip for the battery to them and (of course) they didn't charge me for the new battery. But the best thing for me was that they even couriered it back to me free of charge.
Tiffany-Amber Phillips contacted me after I had a look on their website and put in my cell phone details. She explained very clear what the insurance I wanted to have for my dogs would entail and cost. She followed up with me regularly, but was never pushy in any way. A very nice, polite and professional girl. I wish there were more companies with employees like her.
The people that work there are soooo slow and very good in stalling insurance processes. And not doing anything until you contact them again... I have been trying to get the insurance claim paid out since 10th of March. Had to pay the plumber due to the urgent matter of a burst pipe which caused damage to the neighbours down below. And still after many emails and phone calls I haven't been paid out. Even though the money has been paid into their bank account since 1st of June.
This PnP supermarket in the heart of Robertson always goes the extra mile for their customers. And always have had the highest standards of hygiene in their shop. So nothing new for them there. Only to even work harder to keep everything even more sanitized than ever before.
The only thing VUMATEL can tell is that there is already fibre. But than all the help stops. And we need to provide them with a VT number/code which we have got no clue of how to obtain. Only that VUMATEL told me to phone AXXESS for that VT number.... Which, according to AXXESS they don't have!?! So we don't get anywhere closer to a solution. So sad. Both Vumatel and Axxess keep finger pointing to one another. It is very depressing. And of course you have to pay upfront!
