I bought a Dell monitor on Takealot in Feb 2026 which has a manufacturer warranty. It suddenly stopped connecting to my device. I tried other cables with no luck. I spent hours engaging with Dell via their sms service (you can’t speak to a person) and they sent me another monitor. This too doesn’t connect to my devices and now Dell tell me they’re sending me a 3rd one. They won’t give me refund or upgrade the acreen. Each engagement with Dell is hours of energy on my part and they just make it so difficult to engage. Don’t ever buy Dell products!
I bought 2 boxes of Forage and Feast glasses to give as gifts from Checkers Sixty60. Both boxes had been opened and damaged and would never had been purchased ally anyone in store. Now they tell me they can’t give me a credit and the items have to be returned instore. So much for their fantastic delivery service. This is really embarrassing and was just a way to dump an unsalable product.
Takealot just doesn't answer complaints that they don't want to hear - I got a message that the driver couldn't deliver my order because I was unable to accept delivery. This wasn't true as I had been available to accept delivery the whole day. When I raised the complaint with Takealot their response (twice now) is just we're pleased you received your order, eventually. They need to tell their drivers not to blame the customer if the driver has a problem delivering on time.
I've been trying to cancel my MTN data only sim since early January and MTN keeps finding reasons why they can't cancel it. The cancellation is the result of extremely poor service, including that you can't access MTN app without a 1 time pin, which you can't receive on a data only sim. Customer Care is appalling and put the phone down when I ask difficult questions
Spar Speigelau is nonsense - there is no stock. I've been to I don't know.joe many stores in Pretoria looking foe the blender and no.one has stock. This is not a promotion if you don't have stock
It's impossible to work with MTN - I recently obtained a data sim on a 24 month basis. Every month I get 8/10 emails telling me my payment has gone through then telling me my payment hasn't gone though so that I never know what is going on. I've tried to access the MTN app but it tells me the number is "grey" and MTN customer care writes back to my emails which contain my account number asking me asking for reams of information including my pin which they tell you never to give out on their website. This is just a mess around service.
I placed an order via the Mr D service at 16h12 yesterday, for which the estimated delivery time was 17h10. After the initial confirmation that the order had been accepted by the restaurant, I heard nothing further. When my order hadn't arrived at 17h45, I phoned Mr D support and they advised me that the driver was waiting for the order and the restaurant hadn't started preparing it, so they had cancelled it. I then phoned the restaurant who told me that the order had been collected by the driver from Mr D. This morning I receive an email from from Mr D apologising and advising me that the restaurant has been billed - this is not ok. Why should they not get paid for an order that Mr D collected but didn't deliver? Mr D should have notified me of the delay and delivered the order.
I was asked to confirm my address by 3 different people on my last order. UberEats help desk only response was we know you are eager for your order and please be patient - they didn't deal with my concern re safety at all. So disappointing
I purchased an office cabinetFriday, 17 March 2023 and paid for delivery. The cabinet was delivered yesterday and I realised that the drawers do not open properly and the ball bearings are falling out. My partner tried to tried this to the delivery guys but they didn't want to engage. Most of the drawers just carry on sliding and do not stop. My partner immediately (within a few hours of delivery) phoned Cash Convertors and was advised by Celiah that no one senior was available to speak to him. She undertook to contact us today regarding someone coming to inspect the cabinet. I have heard nothing further.
I have been insured with Momentum (previously Alexander Forbes) for more than 20 years. This year, they tell me that they are not prepared to accept payment via EFT, only debit order. After much fighting they agree to accept an annual EFT but won't let me pay monthly. Surely, in this economy, businesses want to accept payment however it is made. Ms Lebogang Moerane is extremely obstructive and rude. She is quite happy for me to go elsewhere
