Par for the course, Vodacom is dedicated to abusing its customers. I discovered this morning that my airtime was almost entirely gone and when I called in the poor Vodacom call center employee explained that Vodacom unilaterally changed their contracts so that the airtime from my contract expires after a month.
Telkom doesn't actually respond, they have a bot that sends auto responses so that they get the green block at the top of the hello peter page, and make all the responses private to make the deceit more convincing. Hello Peter should be ashamed for encouraging such deceitful practices.
Had a quick lunch at Wimpy the Grove, and was very pleased with the service I received. Karen was friendly and kindly told me about their free wifi. My burger was also superb, tasted excellent and was picture perfect. Definitely going back.
I ordered a fixed line 2 weeks ago and was promised that my reference number would be sent to me via sms. No such sms was received. On Wednesday I called the call centre and eventually spoke to a lady who advised that I need to pay a deposit at a Telkom store or Post office, after taking a few minutes to find my reference number, she told me it would take a week if I paid by EFT. Off to a Telkom store I went, only to find out the weren't able to help me because they only dealt with Telkom Mobile, not fixed lines. Today, now that I have paid the deposit and have a tracking number, I spent 13 minutes on the phone to find out I have to call again on Monday because the back office has not yet processed my payment (which I was told would be done next day if I went in to a store.).
Marietjie and Averil made my road to recovery far smoother and swifter than I could have imagined. They are incredibly knowledgeable and competent and have a stellar attitude. I don't doubt that I would have struggled a lot more than I have without them.

Booked in my Sony M5 for an in warranty repair at Vodacom because the mic isn't working. Vodacom in typical fashion tries to wriggle out of the warranty repair because there is a small crack on the glass back of the phone (which has been there since a week after I got it) and has nothing to do with the broken mic.

This is not an out of box failure where it might be expected that the device is in pristine condition. This phone has been used for months and cannot reasonably be expected to be perfect. I would understand if there was internal damage from a fall (despite the phone being shock proof) that it would void the warranty, but superficial damage that I don't care about repairing cannot void the warranty, otherwise car dealerships would deny an engine repair for a paint scratch on the door.

Took my girlfriend to Geet for her birthday, the food was utterly wonderful and the ambiance is delightful, service was with a smile, and the waitress' recomendation was spot on.

Excellent variety for vegetarians and there is even a section of vegan dishes.

I've been riding a motorcycle for the past 7 years, and been insured with outsurance for the past 5 years. Being an utter fool, I decided to get a full drivers license. Outsurance increased my insurance policy by half again what it was as a result. It is utterly ridiculous that decreasing my risk profile would increase my premium!

On 15 December 2015 I was called by Salesperson is Vinette Naidoo, employee number 8718 and offered a Telkom Mobile Broadband contract for a monthly amount of R 499.00, with a once off R150 connection fee. Vinette assured me that the account was completely uncapped with an expected download speed of 21Mbps (I queried this several times to make sure). Vinette, after promising that it was uncapped said that I could have a trial contract for one month and cancel without obligation during that time. This, as it turns out was patently false.
On 21 December 2015 I received the device whereupon I learned that it was in fact a capped a count at 30GB per month. I immediately contacted Mobile Talk to cancel the account and was assured that it was attended to.
On 25 January 2016 my account was debited by R499 and R150
On 27 January 2016 Annie Davids advised that it would take up to 6 working days to effect my refund. and that I must e-mail my bank statement to effect payment, which I did.
now after more than a month and several phone calls later, not only have I not been refunded, my account has been debited again for R592.46.
