Ever since a change of management at around the beginning of the year, this place has deteriorated rapidly. I refer here to the so-called Tulbagh Bar, not the restaurant itself, which might still be a worthwhile proposition. About 2 weeks ago, I was one of a party of 6 enjoying a few drinks- something we had been doing there every Wednesday since before Covid. We always run individual tabs and I have long suspected that we've been systematically overbilled. On the day in question, I had settled my bill and was about to reverse out of my parking space, when this manager, a thickset individual with a head that seemed to be carved out of a block of teak, came rudely banging at my window and brandishing a bill in my face. He accused me of running away without paying, whereas I had paid and added a gratuity. The waiter serving us appeared clueless and obviously botched things somewhere, but saw an opportunity to pin the blame for the shortfall on me. I paid an additional R250 in cash to avoid a scene, but told that rude manager that I would never set foot un that place ever again, and I will not. His arrogant, discourteous behavior has cost the establishment a loss of turnover of R 2k+ weekly
Absolutely disgraceful. My spaghetti bolgnaise turned out to be a punnet of tasteless slop, not a hint of parmesan cheese. Just totally unappetising and way over-priced. I'll never set foot in that place again.
If anyone remains deluded enough to trust the FSCA, look no further than the victims of Mark Kretzshmar. The FSCA will persecute a small, family- owned business for a harmless administrative breach of some meaningless law, but allow the real ****** to operate with impunity.
Irrelevant and totally useless.just a cushy job for lazy bureaucrats.
I approached this organisation following the death from Covid of my previous accountant/tax practitioner. I was impressed by what appeared to be several positive reviews. In retrospect, this was the worst decision of my life. Those reviews are clearly ****d by non-clients of the business. Deadlines are missed, returns aren't submitted - I could go on and on. Suffice to say, the owner, Marius Higgs, does absolutely nothing, yet when you complain he will pass the buck and blame his own staff! A more appropriate name for this lot would be Tax Non-Assist. When you complain, Higgs becomes defensive and tries to turn the blame onto you. Should you be contemplating using their services, I have one word of advice: DON'T! I am on the verge of instituting legal action against them for professional negligence/neglect. If I could give a zero-star rating I would.
Don't waste your time.Rather go directly to an attorney. I have worked in the insurance for 50+ years so I know what I'm talking about. Most of the people "working" there haven't the first clue about insurance principles or practice. They are funded by the insurance companies by way of a compulsory levy, so what else can you expect? They are firmly on the side of these insurers, who, in turn, employ so-called loss adjusters or investigators, most of whom are of limited intellectual capacity. They, too, are ranked upon their ability to reject claims at worst, or at best, to limit the settlement amount. Bottom line is OSTI is a waste of time.
They have failed to deliver a powerbank I ordered and paid for in May 2023. They blame the courier company, but are doing nothing to rectify the issue. This is tantamount to theft.
Extremely obliging and helpful.
I have been contemplating the purchase of an air fryer and was keen on the Milex ***L until I read reviews on Hellopeter. What is particularly damning is that the company does not respond. For that reason, they have lost a sale.
This has to be the most inept, discourteous and incompetent organisation it has ever been my displeasure to deal with. There is no service ethic or pride taken in their work. hey are the pariahs among a pariah industry.
