I keep receiving unsolicited calls from them that get hung up as soon as I answer.
I logged a call at 4AM with Cool Ideas to say that my fiber is down. Their "hero", Silence (very appropriate name), responded with a simple copy and paste to say that there are outages in Johannesburg. I followed up that message to say that I have done testing steps already and would like to know what is wrong, as my fibre connection shows that it is up, but that the LAN is down, exactly what I said in the original support request. I received the exact same copy and paste response from Silence. I have to call in and make him attend to my call. It was obvious from his responses that he had not read my support requests at all. He then proceeded to make me redo all the testing steps I had done (which I have mentioned in my support request) only to realise that the problem is indeed with the router. Only then was the call escalated to OpenServe.
Their parts manager had no problem trying to aggresively overtake me and then try to drive me off the road in order to avoid hitting an oncoming car. I reported his reckless driving to the dealership and was told that they would get back to me. Nothing two days later. They obviously have no problem condoning this behaviour.
Had found a great i10 on their site. Inquired about it and started the financing application the next morning (Friday). Financing was approved, but was informed I could not come look at the car Saturday, as it was getting paint chips repaired. The car would be brought to me Monday to test drive. Was informed Monday at 4PM that the car had actually been sold Friday afternoon already and collected Saturday morning. Poor communication, and despite a promise from the used car manager that he would try to get back to me with some kind of replacement, I have heard nothing in 3 days.
Whenever I have had the misfortune of dealing with them, I am repeatedly harassed by their incompetent billing department. They seem to be wholly unable to understand it and repeatedly contact me over bills that have been paid. Even after they have called me months before and said it's a problem on their side, they will not bother me again.
Thanks to Adam Sekgabi I had one of the most hassle-free insurance claims of my life. He patiently went with me over everything that was stolen and made sure that I was very fairly covered for my losses. Hope to have him again in the future.
I have been contacted, without permission, by a company called Multiplier to sell me your funeral cover. Please will you check with these people that represent you and find out why they are illegally contacting me?
My wife organised with you to have her windshield replaced at our home at 15:00 today. Your technician was at the house shortly after 12:00. I was called, not my wife. I sent him to her work, but as she is a teacher, she was not able to get them to her car. They left. I phoned in to get them to stick to the 15:00 appointment. I was told the technician would call me to confirm. My wife (not me) was then contacted at 14:00 to say it has to be done now as there are no alternatives. So now she has to change her whole schedule to accommodate your technicians who are unable to follow any kind of schedule or even do the things that they say they will. This whole process has been a horrible display of incompetence on your behalf.
I am tired of the general lack of customer service fro Cool Ideas. It all started terribly with nothing but lies from them when I tried to sign up with them. I was lied to about when I would be online. I was lied to about when I would have my router. I was lied to by the manager who said he would follow up. Now, we add the billing debacle of January. Where I followed up to make sure everything was okay, as there was an unpaid invoice. I was assured it is all sorted. Today I get informed, that the last person I spoke to was wrong (lied to me), I do still have an unpaid invoice. Why should I stay with a company that has *****ed me around so much?
6 months after replacing my iPhone 6s screen, it started to get a bit iffy and a ***** had fallen out. They happily assessed and replaced the faulty screen with no hassle. Thank you for great service. Tatenda has been great every time.
