Tactical distributors seems to be one of those increasingly rare retailers that still cares about their customers' experience, which means excellent sales and after-sales support. Delivery was quick, and multiple follow-ups were made to check whether everything was as expected. Easy 5 stars.
Do you want to buy something from Makro's online store, only to not have received it 2 weeks later and not getting any updates from Makro whatsoever? Then as an added bonus, when you call their support center, you'll get to listen to their hold music when you inevitably get put on hold for an eternity in the hope that you'll just eventually hang up. If this sounds like something you'd like to experience, then navigate to Makro's site and buy something. Very disappointing experience. I've called 5 times of which my call was dropped twice, promised that they'd get back to me once (never happened), placed on hold for an eternity once, and eventually assured that my order would be refunded when I finally just had enough. There was ZERO response on any of my emails.
Ordered multiple items late Tuesday afternoon, received it early the next morning. Top notch service.
Ordered 2 pairs of an item only to have 1 pair delivered. After following up with them and confirming that they still need to ship the other pair, it's been over a month later and still nothing. You can't get a hold of them on the phone as you repeatedly get told to call again in 30 minutes (there's supposedly only ONE online sales guy). Do not buy from these people as their service is horrible.
Excellent experience from choosing the product on their site, to ordering, to communications about your delivery, and outstanding after-sales support. Likely the best in SA of its sort. Easy recommendation.
Bought an item and received what clearly is nowhere near what is shown on their website. To make matters worse, they no longer have stock of the item I wanted, and I suspect they probably haven't when I made the purchase. I would've put this down to an honest mistake, but I know of at least 2 other people who experienced the exact same thing within the last month. I don't know what's going on over at takealot, but they've fallen very far since the take2 days. Hope they get back to their former glory, but as it stands, I just cannot recommend them to anyone. Really, really disappointed.
The price is right, the buying experience is right, and support is top notch. Easy recommend if you're looking for quality knives.
This review is limited to the buying, delivery and initial use of the service only: I bought Afrihost's uncapped LTE last week. Upon filling in my details on their site, I was asked what I'd like my WiFi to be called and what password to use. I received confirmation emails and SMSes, together with a date for when I could expect delivery. The delivery occurred when they said it would, the router was pre-configured, and everything just worked from the get-go. No waiting for anything, and no gray areas. Exceptional experience so far.
About a week and a half ago, I bought and paid for RAIN's 5G uncapped internet. After waiting for more than 24 hours, I was still unable to connect to the internet using their router, so I logged a call with them. After much following up, eventually they informed me that there's a problem with the SIM card, which will necessitate a SIM-swop. Yes, apparently that means physically swopping a SIM card... Anyway, they informed me that the courier company would deliver the new SIM within the following week (which is this week). I've received a call from the courier company in question today informing me that they would need to collect the parcel (the entire parcel, SIM card, router, everything) and deliver a new one, which will only occur in the following week (i.e. next week). To put this into perspective, according to RAIN's website, you'll be able to connect to the internet within 2 hours of being RICAd. By next week, I'd be in week 3 of not being able to use a product I bought and paid for. I've since requested a full refund. Waiting to see how that goes.
