Wimpy Wasteland Chaos
Wimpy (Mall of Africa) got it very wrong on time and quality, and very right on chaos!!! Drinks took 15/20min from placing our order. On inquiry, the order had not been started, so the manager personally made the order, He also took forever. The waiter was mostly missing in action. Needles to say, there seemed to be an oversupply of waiters who loitered in groups, chatting to each other, rather than following up with their customers. When our drinks arrived the granadilla mint smoothie was delicious, but an air of disappointment was setting in. We ordered 2 specials of the day (Cheese griller breakfast)... It took another 15/20 minutes to receive our food. The plates did not arrive at the same time. Both plates were sent back, one at a time. One plate came with half a portion of bacon, the other plate with cold baked beans. A second manager begrudgingly attended to the food complaint. We ended up watching each other (not enjoying breakfast), because our meals arrived at very different times. Suggestion: Reduce the number of staff. Keep them busy and refrain from group chatter. Train waiters on timeliness and synchronized food delivery. Keep the most friendly and capable staff. Train kitchen staff on the importance of hot food. Please deliver food on time, hot and with full portions. The taste for our favorite Wimpy is souring!!!
