I have been a client of western kaelo for 15 years for their gap cover. historically,although it was always a cumbersome claims process,they paid out . this year the claims process has gotten way more complicated (i suspect purposefully) and the without being informed clearly,their payouts have been heavily reduced. I am cancelling my policy with them and switchign to discovery gap cover. I would not recommend using western kaelo at all.
**** artist...classic story..sends a good quote..follows up like crazy to get the business....pay fifty percent deposit...arrange installation date...never pitches..and stops responding to calls or whats apps...avoid at all costs, this is a sham,**** company and you will never see the work you pay for getting done
Useless...placed an order online 4 weeks ago...took them two weeks and several calls to confirm they had no stock of what I ordered. They keep promising they getting stock..but don;t....avoid this site..plenty other options available online with more reliable service..now waiting for me refund
I signed a two year contract with adt in2018. Stupidly i selected rental instead of own..now in2025..i need my alarm serviced..they refuse to give the control panel access code,and will not let my technician service it..instead they want to force me to use their expensive technicians,who genrally are very poor,as ive experienced in the past,which is why I want my recommended independent technician with twenty years experience to do it...just ******ion and i'm certain against the consumer protection act....
I have been a client of the bank since it first started. Like everything Discovery tries to do,they gamify it to the point of confusion. I received a call from one of their agents,suggesting that I "upgrade" my account to include the banking suite,which supposedly I did not have. It would cost me an additional R145 per month, however,i was supposed to get huge benefits from it..including...increasing discount on international flights to 32% from 17.5%, AND an improvement in the interest rate charged on my balance owing on my credit card...well low and behold after adding the banking suite..the interest rate charged actually increased by 2.55% and the flight discount stayed the same. When I called to complain about this, I was told repeatedly (i have called six times already) that 1)they can't do anything about the interest rate 2)they would let me hear the call recording 3)someone form their executive would call me to discuss this Of course,none of this has happened,no one has called me back, the interest rate still is higher,and I havent received the call recording....I have told them each time I am going to the banking ombudsman to resolve this,but sadly I cannot do this without the recording..no doubt why they won;t send it to me... Beware if you are a client of theirs..DO NOT change the type of account you have,as it will elad to a review of your credit terms,they do not tell you this on the call, which is in itself ******* to not do....if you arent a client yet,find another financial institution to go to,as Discovery are dishonest and unhelpful.
I recently purchased an under counter slimline instant hot water boiler from builders warehouse. It is an Ariston Aures model. In anticipation of a complicated installation I asked the salesman at builders for contact details for Ariston,so that they could recommend an installer. I was given a cell/whats app number for customer service,which i messaged to ask for names of installers in Cape Town. The first one they gave me didnt reply to my messages for over a week, the second quoted to install,came out on site,had never see this model before,and could not install it. Eventually I got my own plumber to do the job. After installation the unit did not work. I gave my plumber the help line to call and get assistance, which he tried,but it was never answered. Eventually I messaged them and they made an effort to get hold of my plumber. For the record,the instructions supplied with this item are incorrect,they refer to reset switches which do not exist..... They could not help my plumber,nd said they need to send th epictures of the installation to their manager..who never called the plumber back. Again I had to get involved,and managed to convince them to send someone out at their own expense,as it is now a warranty claim as the unit is not working....they sent me a reference no. for this..and four days later...I am still waiting for someone to contact me to arrange the site visit to resolve this issue....this is just useless uphill fighting all the way with a co. that clearly is selling sub standard products....my next fight no doubt will be with builders warehouse to get them to put pressure on Ariston to make good...
Just like the previous reviewer.I can only conclude this company is a fraud. I was hounded to pay before the send was done, the artwork sent was not the same artwork i signed off on, and a quarter of the space was dedicated to advertising their business. The send went out 2 and a half days later then planned,with the incorrect subject line,and woefully incorrect artwork. it was stopped.... I have demanded a refund as clearly they are incompetent, and unable to rectify all their errors. Suddenly her cell phone is unavailable.whats app are grey ticked and unanswered,and emails are not responded to. In short, they are misrepresenting themselves as a digital marketing agency,and in capable of doing the very basic task of designing and sending out an email newsletter. Avoid at all costs.
DO NOT SWITCH YET! In theory it sounds like a smart move,in practise the back end and support is poor. I have had three fraudulent online transactions on my wifes card,reported 6 weeks ago...to date no refund, no feedback, no assistance whatsoever...this bank is actually dangerous. the support centre,while very polite,are useless......i have called 7 times with still no outcome...what a joke!!!
