I would strongly recommend doing thorough research before using Stage Zero Solar in Port Elizabeth, specifically regarding the contractors used for installations. In September 2025, we had a solar system installed at our home. Prior to installation, I had an agreement with the owner of Hitech, Reghardt, that the mounting brackets would be installed first so I could waterproof around them, as our roof has very old fish scale tiles. The agreement was that they would come a day before the panel installation to allow time for this preparation. That unfortunately did not happen, and the entire installation was completed in one day. Only afterwards did I discover that numerous roof tiles had been broken during the installation process. I had spare tiles available and would have replaced any damaged tiles had this been communicated to me at the time. Instead, the installation was completed and no mention was made of the damage. The first rainfall after the installation resulted in severe leaks throughout the house — through ceilings, light fittings, and into areas with wooden flooring. Upon inspecting the roof space myself, I found multiple openings where damaged tiles had been left unrepaired beneath the solar installation. Since October 2025, I have repeatedly raised this issue and have continuously had to follow up myself, with little to no proactive communication in return. In the meantime, I have had to implement temporary measures at my own expense, including installing flashing to divert water away from the damaged areas, sealing panel gaps with waterproofing tape, and placing four 210L buckets permanently in the ceiling to collect water during rain. It is now May 2026, nearly June, and the matter still remains unresolved. No meaningful repair work has been completed, nor has there been any offer to remove the panels so that the roof can properly be repaired. This has been an extremely frustrating and ongoing experience, and in my opinion, the standard of workmanship and after-sales support received has been unacceptable.
voltex port elizabeth is super pathetic no sense of customer service at all doesnt answer their phones when you call, when you do get through and ask for sales then they say yes its sales, you then ask for something and they say oh please hold and just put you back on hold. incompetency at its best can not believe that voltex SA can allow one of their branches to operate like this....
No after hours contact number for them. No way of getting a contribution statement from them or online actually a joke.
I sent a package from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg using The Courier Guy via the Pudo service at their Newton Park branch around the 14th of August (possibly a day or two earlier). I was assisted by Carike at the Newton Park kiosk. Unfortunately, the parcel never made it to its destination in Johannesburg. On the 23rd of August, I completed and submitted a claims form directly to the branch manager, Amoureze. I was informed that the claim process would take up to 15 business days. This seemed reasonable, and I left it in their hands. Today is the 16th of September—well beyond the 15 business day timeframe—and I still have no feedback or resolution. I have been trying to contact the Newton Park branch via their landline, but no one answers. To make matters worse, I’ve now been informed that Amoureze is on leave and, shockingly, that my claim was never even processed in the first place. This is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of accountability and customer care. My parcel is still missing, and the delay in processing the claim has only added to my frustration. I expect immediate follow-up, proper processing of my claim, and a formal explanation for this poor handling of my case.
Very eager to sell you a machine even follows up, then get my machine the very next day.... Great stuff you would think but think not this thing doesn't even work no reply on their customer service on WhatsApp or telephonically trying to process a payment and keeps on saying "transaction error, service error" I needed this card machine to trade my business. No sense of aftersales service. At this point definitely not recommending to anybody.
