Despite my previous negative rating of African bank the last time, I still receive disturbing and frustrating smses about a bank account that I have never opened before, like the one below: “African Bank: Deposit cash in your MyWORLD bank account at any participating Pay@ retailer: PEP, Shoprite, Checkers, Ackermans, Jumbo, etc. Use your Pay@ reference 11654, followed by your 11 digit account number 20114534232. Visit www.africanbank.co.za for more retailers and details.Auth. FSP. Reg NCRCP7638” I have no account with African Bank; the bank doesn’t offer any option to “opt out” of receiving messages from it (not that I ever said I wanted to receive any messages from the bank in the first place). This is becoming a joke now.
I went to African Bank to ask if they offered study loans. I was quoted on the spot, but I unfortunately was not keen on their offer, and I walked away without entering into any agreement with the bank. Furthermore, I never signed up for any of their products (i.e., bank accounts (savings or otherwise), etc.), nor did I sign up for any marketing notifications. Despite the above, I continue to receive SMSes from African Bank about time-wasting content. The latest SMS (received today at 07:17) discusses "***** Alert". What is worse, African Bank doesn't even give me the option to opt out from receiving notifications from them, and it is frustrating.
My first time selling my car was through Weelee. The service I received from Joost (Salesman) and his driver Bruce has no words to describe, safe to say professional. Another matter for me is that I did not feel that Weelee puts profits number one at the client's expense (which is what I observed with some of their rivals). Weelee seems to put the customer first, and for that I am grateful.
Nokukhanya Mthembu was such an angel when she dealt with my cal. Professionalism, patience, and dedication are some of the superlatives that best describe her service rendition. At no stage did she make me feel rushed. Good service indeed...and I guess, apart from complimenting her for her sterling service, some of the accolades should go to her supervisor - as they say, "take care of your staff, and they will take care of your clients". If there was half a star, YOCO would definitely get it from me. Their customer service is pathetic at best. Twice I have sent an email regarding the updating of my business' bank account details, and twice they have neglected to respond (on the same issue I must add). If I had known, I would have stayed away from using their services for my business. Pathetic service ever from a service provider.
