The company was registered in 2004 and was deregistered in 2010. The original company was registered in Gauteng and this company has an address in Western Cape. One of the companies in our group bought goods from Conex and they recieved nothing. From what I have read on Hello Peter and what has happened it is a **** so do not purchase from them.
I have owned a number of different branded laptops and the latest brand I purchased was a Lenovo (IdeaPad 3). I have had this laptop for a number of years now and my patience has come to an end. Every single time (from the very begining) the laptop does an update my Lenovo crashes. Sometimes it takes a day to come right and sometime it is longer. This time around it is 3 days with no signs of getting better. I have tried to contact lenovo support but you get directed and redirected to all the easy way outs for lenovo. How does a public forum correct a technical problem? I need to fix this laptop with a proper technician. When the update is done the computer becomes unresponsive, it hangs between pages (on browser), its take a very long time to open an app/program and when eventually in the program (excel etc) i can go make a cup of tea while waiting for the program to complete input etc. If I open multiple programs it sometimes does not open one of the programs and I need to click multiple time on the icon for it to eventually open. Even the Lenovo LSB does not open. I thought that to assist with this I would put in an SSD harddrive and i must admit that when the laptop works it is super fast but when there is an update nothing helps. I am frustrated and sick of this and with there being ZERO support from Lenovo how am I to solve this problem?
A year ago (February 2024) I signed a fibre package with Vodacom and I was charged about R433 per month. It was soon after that that I received an email informing me of an increase (R466) that was going to happen begining May 2024 (4 months after I started the service. I thought this was not right because it was false advertising entrapment where one price is offered and as soon as you are on board they increase the price). I spoke to a consultant who actually was unable to do anything to resolve the issue. I accepted the increase on the grounds that there would not be another increase in the year but unfortunately here it is. My latest increase takes my monthly up to R579 per month. This makes my increase this year of just under 34%. Again I spoke to a consultant who was unable to assist. Again I was told its what they do and it is part of the Vodacom policy. So let me ask this ...... is it Vodacom policy to charge one amount and almost as soon as they have hooked you into the service to increase the amount? Is it Vodacom policy to have a per annum increase of approximately 34% because if it is then I can expect increases whenever Vodacom feels like it and which means in a year I will be paying an amount of about R770 per month. Does this sound like a good deal to you or does this sound like a way they falsely solicit business? Thats what happens when your sole reason for existance is to generate as much money as you can at the expense of your clients. Tells you exactly what VODACOM thinks of the clients.......
After what happened to the young buyer my recomendation to everyone out there is to contract the services of a expert vehicle mechanic or AA and have the car throughly tested before you even consider buying the vehicle from webuycars and under no circustances trust what the webuycars testers (Dekara) say or report as the obviously missed problems on the said vehicle. Take into consideration the cost of this 3rd party test and factor it into the cost of the car. The car was purchased in Gauteng and driven down to Durban (where they live) and on arrival in Durban the car had to go in for repairs which totaled R21 000. Webuycars basically stated that the trip negated the imp**** warranty so in other words they have found a loop hole for the "foets toets" clause. If this cost was incurred after 500km and 3 days after taking posession of the car. The young couple are expecting a lot more additional costs to occur. It is undecided if this will go further legally due to the costs but this is still an option open to the family. (Khoisan Prince (by birth) and his fiance). Although it was not me personally who bought the vahicle I would never use them to acquire a vehicle and I would recomend to all to be very very careful if you decide to use them. This is disgusting.
As with most of the 1950 recent complaints against takealot I have the same problem. I placed an order, and paid for 4 items in enough time to get them before christmas. Takealot delivered 3 items correctly and delivered 1 item that I did not order. The very next day takealot was there to collect the incorrect item but have failed to give me my correct item. They have been close to impossible to speak to and when I have managed to speak to someone all I get is lies and arrogance. The so called delivery team has not been able to tell me when or even if I will get my missing item. Maybe a class action lawsuit should be considered against Takealot because if you do the math they are sitting with millions of rands of other peoples money that they have taken and have not delivered ....... that is construed as theft. This is my first time buying and it is definately my last. I refuse to give some corporation money in advance for goods that I am unsure of if i will ever receive. The amount of time spent phoning and sending emails is ludicrous trying to get resolve. Takealot you are uselss and on the brink of being thieves.
