I can absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody. I joined some friends in Langebaan for a 60th birthday party and due to a not so happy experience a previous time, my daughter decided to book us into this hotel. The hotel was neat and clean, the rooms were lovely (tv, air con massive bed and a proper shower) facing a beautiful pool and quad. Everybody there were friendly and helpful. What a fantastic group of people from the receptionist to the waiters. The next morning we had breakfast (included) and to my surprise we were given a menu to choose from. The breakfast was delicious. I am definitely doing this again.
I recently fell violently ill the morning and my family phoned ER 24 as i was non responsive and clearly needed medical help. I was woken by a very kind gentleman from ER and they took me to the ambulance where they started medical checks on me. I can clearly remember the many flashing lights outside my place as there was a number of medical vehicles and medical staff. My blood pressure was through the roof and my body was bloated with a lot of water in my system for some reason. The rushed me to Panorama Mediclinic where i was met by an awesome Indian doctor (unfortunately i do not know his name) who immediately took care of me. I know of a few people who complained about Panorama Mediclinic, but honestly i received 5 star treatment from the Doctor and staff (Nurses). Unfortunately my Medical insurance decided to diagnose me with an illness that was not diagnosed at all from any of the Doctors and my awesome daughter paid for my medical care. Even after my Medical insurance stated they would not pay for my treatment the Doctors still went out of their way to assist me. Thank you.
I recently published a review on 1Life and how they could not sort out a policy i tried to claim against the passing of my mom. I added in part of this review I had to now send all the necessary documentation to 1Life and so i did. I sent all the documentation and received a reply 2 days later that the death certificate and page of the notice of stillbirth is a bit unclear. No problem. I resent it in a much clearer form. This is where things started going wrong. I get an e-mail a few days later to inform me that this policy was cancelled in January 2021, yet the installments went off until end of July 2021. This is wrong so i send an e-mail stating this cannot be right. I had Power of Attorney over my moms bank account and i never cancelled nor could she. Then i receive and e-mail stating the policies are in my name and not my moms. These are my policies and has nothing to do with my mom. The next day i receive and e-mail asking for a letter of authority for the policy. I send them the letter and shortly after i get an e-mail stating there is no policy with that number (the number they sent me is wrong) so i correct them via e-mail and send the right number again. Shortly after i get another e-mail stating that there is no policy under my moms id number. Once again her id number is wrong and i resend it with another copy of her birth certificate telling them it is wrong again. Yesterday i received another mail saying there is no policy on her name so i ask them to get their manager to call me as this is becoming a circus. Every time i get an e-mail from a different person at 1Life with completely different information. This morning again i stated how is this possible and had no reply yet. Incompetence of the highest level. I have all the proof of the e-mails. I sent another e-mail to them this morning with all the e-mails copied into that e-mail, but had no reply. After the review a lady with the name of Zanele contacted me and promised me that she would sort this out and so she did,,,,,,,or so i thought. Zanele informed me that the policy is sorted out and she handed it to one of the people there who would contact me shortly. After a few days of hearing nothing from them i once again contacted them and received a mail to say Zanele is on leave. All good, but then earlier i get another mail. This is absolutely laughable. My name is spelled wrong and they are extending my policy to February 2022 and will deduct the premiums from my bank account. To make it even more interesting----the matter is now considered closed!!!!! Yep. I tried to make a claim against a policy that belonged to my deceased mom and now i get benefits with premiums that i have to pay on a policy that is not mine. This is the kind of stuff stand up comedians thrive on, but funny- not for me.
This one is a shocker to say the least. This from a company that i have two life policies with. If only i knew?? My mom passed away on the 9th of June 2021 at the age of 94. She was a housewife all her life and when my stepfather passed away she lived off his pension. Her passing left me with some serious financial problems as i am her only living son and i had to very quickly arrange for finances for her funeral as she had no policies. After her funeral i had to get a letter of authority so i could do the necessary documentation (stopping debit orders etc etc) and claim her very small investment at Nedbank. After going to court 5 times and spending hours there i eventually ended up at Goodwood court and a very helpful individual sorted out the necessary documentation for me. One of the debit orders i had to cancel was Auto and General so i contacted them to cancel. To my surprise i received a phone call the next day from an employee at 1Life to tell me that under this house insurance is a policy of R5000 and also 6 months payback of the premiums. I was delighted to get some money back. I had to now send all the necessary documentation to 1Life and so i did. I recently cancelled my contract with Cell C as i took this contract out for my wife at the time and no longer needed it as she passed away. This was somewhere around August last year. After several phone calls and tons of patience i managed to get hold of one of the Cell C customer services agents. I explained that i wanted to cancel my contract of many years and i was told that i would have to pay one more installment the end of the month. She cancelled the sim card and contract (as far as i thought). The installment went of the end of October and i thought we were done. To my shock another installment went off the end of November, but i cancelled it and then the end of December another two installments went off. Once again i cancelled it and a few days into the new year somebody from Cell C started phoning me phoning me. Funny thing here is that they have 1280 spam reports on their name and because i downloaded true caller the calls were rejected. I then received an sms informing me that i was handed over for non payment. I contacted Cell C and this conversation ended up in a huge argument as i was then told that i now owe over R800 because i did not allow the payment to go through so the contract is not considered cancelled. I explained to this gentleman that there was never any mention of a second payment and why should there. His reply: I have to go to the police station to write an affidavit then send it to some legal department at Cell C so i can request the conversation i had with the previous consultant. Who is the client here??? The very same thing happened to not one, but two of my colleagues at work. Well i dont care what they do. They will not see another cent from me. This is by far the worst experience i have ever had with any service provider and from all the reviews and complaints i have read this is clearly a very incompetent group of people. Simply put.
