Medi-Clinic's biggest strength, according to Hellopeter's AI analysis, is Customer Service & Staff Quality. Standout praise centres on named professionals like Dr Khonje, Dr Nchabeleng, Maggie Mahlungu, and Lalitha Govender, with patients describing compassionate, life-saving care at Sandton, Potchefstroom and Plettenberg Bay. However, this strength is heavily diluted by frequent complaints of rude, dismissive nurses elsewhere.

Let me take a minute to praise Vereeniging Mediclinnc. This fantastic facility was able to pacify a patient 5 hours into a complaint not a minute.Congratulations to all staff members concerned? especially the hospital medical staff. Not a minute, 5 hours!!! brilliant work. Take a bow for maybe not taking 4 hours. Absolute brilliance, maybe go to Vandetbijlpark in the future. Special thanks to management, wow exceptional work in accommodating patients. Great communication. THANKS keep up the humility if you understand or comprehend the word.

ER24 has been completely unhelpful in resolving my billing issue. After using their ambulance service, they failed to properly process the claim with my medical aid, and I am now being held personally liable for the account. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter through emails and follow-ups, but their accounts and claims departments continue to ignore my communication. The lack of accountability, poor customer service, and failure to assist a patient with a legitimate query is extremely disappointing and *********. Patients should not have to fight this hard just to get basic assistance and clarity regarding accounts. I will be escalating this matter further to the relevant regulatory bodies.

I complained about a Neorologist working at the Mediclinic in George. It seems that The doctors take their que from the hospital they work at. A week later, no feedback, not even a "Go Away". Well, now I will go to the Medical Board and the Consumetr Protection Agency.

We had to take my mom to this hospital as she was experiencing a serious mental episode. We took her to the Emergency unit. The staff were friendly and tried to make her comfortable. In the process I asked multiple times if they were going to admit her to hospital, but this was resisted. They did various tests and scans. After a few hours we were told that we could take her home. She was not really better, they had given her meds to calm her down and a few pills to take home. A week later we had to admit her to another hospital, she had worsened so much that we thought we were going to loose her. But here she was immediately admitted, treated for a few weeks and eventually recovered well. Doctors eventually found out that she had had multiple strokes. Mediclinic Milnerton with all their tests and scan could not identify this and sent her home. The worst part was the constant badgering for payments afterwards. That visit cost us about R12 000 and they did nothing for my mom. Morton and Partners Radiology were responsible for the scans and they were also the greediest when it came to the costs. If the doctor had listened to my request to admit my mom, she could have been diagnosed faster, recovered faster and saved all that money as her medical fund would have covered it. I have always had good experiences with Mediclinics across the country, but Milnerton Mediclinic and Morton and Partners Radiology were horrible.

Mediclinic Mortons and Partners have a funny way to dealing with a private paying customer after a heart attack. If there is any payment issue, they use a company called Lexmed Debt management. I believe this company was never properly vetting for how to speak to patients owing money or someone is getting some kick-back ( nothing new in South Africa ) . My sister had an amount over a R1000 we did not know discovery did not pay. Eventually when I got through to the head of mediclinc Mortons and partners head office cape town two weeks ago. I was given the amount owed. I paid immediately. I let Mortons know and was assured no more messages would be recevied. Ria Kubin, a worker at Lexmed Debt Management, I feel must be a terrible narcissist I have every spoken to. Because she didn't like the fact that I was unfriendly on the phone. Instead of verifying the account is paid. She took my comments personally and proceeded to start sending Whatsapps to my sister. Wow. I am in business for 30 years. This company takes first place as the worst.

Attended an appointment with the Neorologist based at the Hospital, 1 of only 2 operating in George. This female doctor saw me, perscibef medicines that had very adverse reactions to the medicines I told the doctor about and my medical condition. I had to urgently go for tests. However, now after WEEKS of waiting and phoning her, she is too busy in conferences and whatever else. So after paying good money, this "doctor" is not caring about her patient enough to actually finish her job. I am also about to report this "doctor" to the Government and the medical board.

Dr J Mellet did an incomplete colonoscopy did not prescribe any medication did not tell what my diagnoses was. I never saw him again I had to go to his office the next day to find out whst the diagnoses was . Saw him before procedure and not again. No information on biopsy nothing absolutely nothing. The worst part is I asked to go and see him as I am a regular patient. Never been treated so badly no diagnoses no medication no information nothing. All he was interested in was the money. So whether he completed the colinoscopy or not he would have got paid. My advise to future patients when you hear his name run you are not safe in his hands

The most common complaint about Medi-Clinic, based on Hellopeter's AI analysis of recent customer reviews, is Communication & Responsiveness. Patients repeatedly describe ignored emails, unreturned doctor callbacks, no follow-up on lab results, and managers failing to respond to escalated complaints. Emergency room communication is poor, with long waits and no status updates, leaving patients and families feeling abandoned during medical crises.
