Was really close to signing the agreement for solar installation but not convinced about them wanting a COC as I am the original property owner (1987) & no electrical changes & although there was an add-on living room approved by council (2017) there were no electrical changes. Original plans & Certificate of Occupancy (Jan18) forwarded & the feedback was & apparently from their Compliance team & council which clearly they believed. What was clearly omitted was any reference to Regulations. I mailed the ECB & attached same documents & their response was & referred to The Occupational Health & Safety Act, Section 7 (3) Certificate of Compliance. The whole act was attached. In short, pre Mar94, no change of ownership or electrical changes, a COC does not apply. This is something that I would think the compliance people would know.
Absolutely appalling service all round. Delivery was supposed to be this past Saturday. SMS that one item to be delivered later Saturday. Nothing. I mailed Monday & was told delivery rescheduled for today, Thursday, nothing again. Maybe they think that the recent annoying mails received each time a customer now logs on will distract the customer from not receiving the long outstanding items, which have long since been paid for. Totally disgusted.
Due to the constant load shedding & power outages, several years ago I bought a Ryobi RG2700 generator as a backup to the Sagenco that I bought before "load shedding" became a thing. There is no comparison - the Sagenco wins hands down. The repeated issue is the Ryobi runs fine & then doesn't supply power. 2022 took it to Midrand & apparently only an adjustment. May24 same issue. This morning decided to take it in & place was busy with the clearance sale. It was taken out of my car onto a trolley & Happy booked it in. Then got a sms R1 876.80 & when I ???'d it the guy was adamant that it was an inverter & on trolley & new R25K. He refused point blank to hear anything I said because not my generator & obviously I should know. He added that only those approved by Ryobi were allowed to work on the generator & I mentioned Honeydew Lawnmower as I had seen them pick up my neighbour's big generator on trolley & he hadn't heard of them which was weird because they would certainly be a customer. After a few minutes of his absolute refusal to hear me & arrogance & him saying he would fetch the generator to show me I walked away & went to Happy who was busy & when he helped me I told him what the guy was insisting on & Happy had seen my generator when it came in so he knew it was not an inverter & not on a trolley. The guy had the audacity to actually come & call me to show the generator he was adamant was mine & Happy told him that he was wrong & he was helping me & the guy tried but Happy told him that it was sorted. The guy saw the sms & took the details. I don't know who assessed it but don't trust & not spending a cent. Happy was great & helpful & we will speak on Monday. On the way home made the decision that too many problems for a backup & not worth it & that guys attitude & behaviour & in front of other customers was unacceptable & unprofessional. Will collect next Saturday, empty tank which is full & Makro recycle can have it. It was a disastrous experience & based purely on a Ryobi representative refusing to hear the customer.
Again shocking service & SIL clearly don't understand "get back to you within 48 hours" & shouldn't be surprised as they haven't responded to my email from 11Mar23. Updated policy has no reference or mention of my query & SIL previously assured me in writing was valid, now who knows as long as your Debit Order goes through.
Only good things to say about this tree felling company. They cut the neighbour's overhanging branches that I was unable to reach and nothing was damaged and also cleaned up when finished the cutting. Will be calling them back towards the end of September to give my avo tree a good cut.
Last years I purchased the Platinum Coffee Machine from Checkers Hypermarket, Florida and several weeks ago the spring on the funnel broke so I took a chance & mailed the Customer Care who responded positively & I mailed them the cover of the booklet for the correct part & my delivery address. Last week received notice that the part will be delivered & this morning I received the package. I would like to congratulate Shoprite for this amazing service. Thank you so much.
This morning went to FL Lifestyle Randpark Ridge. Tax Inv time 8.13am & there were very few customers in the store. When passing the items to the cashier (Blessing - name on Inv), this young guy came & stood in maybe a meter from me & watching what I was doing. I asked Blessing what he who & what he wanted & she didn't respond & he then left. On the way to the exit I saw him & apparently he is security. Not a clue what he thought he was achieving because when I first looked at him, there was nothing that clearly identified that he was security & as security & if properly trained, apparently not, what made him think he had the right to be so intrusive. I frequent this store as well as Hillfox & not experienced this before.
Needed to replace my sneakers and the one's I have are Hi-Tec which I bought from a shop in Northgate some years ago. Didn't know that Hi-Tec actually had their own branches and one at Hillfox which is a centre that I frequent. First called and spoke to Sipho and later that day went into the branch. Sipho had already taken out the shoes and sandals that I had seen on the website, which I didn't expect. He was friendly and more important he actually had knowledge of what he was selling. I bought different than what was initially intended and yes he did ask if I wanted to fit on the sandals that I saw just before paying but I was comfortable with the size. Should have listened because the next day I was back and exchanged them. Sipho recognised me when I walked in and again the same approach. Hope he is always like that with customers. Thank you Sipho.
Last year when I checked Petzone's website they had no stock of the Montego Classic 25kg that I wanted & responded to my mail & did contact me when the stock arrived. GREAT. Last night I checked out the website and there was stock so at lunch time today went to Blueberry and believe it or not they were waiting for stock. The staff were indifferent to the fact that the website showed stock available & offered to contact me. The frustrating thing is that it was a waste of time & this is not the first time, but I guess they accept that the customers will keep going back. Well TakeaLot delivers as well.
Standard Bank have never been able to provide any proof or evidence that my bank account, money is theirs and they are entitled to access my account without my permission and implemented an unauthorised monthly subscription. It's not the first time they've done this kind of thing and I refuse to download their app as well.
