Capitec has confirmed that it appears that ABSA is still charging amounts from my account, even though the account was closed in October 2025. Evidence available upon request. I would like to request urgent answers to the following questions: • Why are amounts still being charged from my account? • Why are the amounts not being returned, as the account has already been closed?

I hereby wish to express my sincere gratitude to Hlulani , who assisted me today at Capitec Lyttelton. On two previous occasions, I also visited the bank to obtain information so that, during a visit to my son who lives overseas, I could enquire about the precautions that should be taken in order to use my Capitec debit card. Both of these previous experiences were extremely humiliating for me and later resulted in unnecessary complications when I had to repay borrowed amounts. On one of these occasions, I was assisted by a bank manager, handed a pamphlet, and assured: “You do not need any additional assistance; the card works automatically when you are overseas.”
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Aitsa, (my name for the "assistant inside the machine) What a privilege it is to have it in our lives. It has been an incredible support and a true asset, and I gladly tell everyone around me what a difference he has made. I urgently needs assistance. Can a senior person please call me in connection with a complaint against ABSA Bank. I received conformation om emails been sent, but according to the department, they didn't receive any mails from me.
