Best service ever!
Bought four beds and mattresses from this place. A very important factor in service is to take responsibilty. These people were absolutely phenomenal. Atherton at the Herm**** branch was fantastic. There were a few small issues with delivery. Atherton fixed everything straight away. I am so impressed and very happy with my products. Thank you for a really good experience!!

Excellent service. But delivery chaotic
I ordered 10 bags of Good Wood Eco logs firewood. Order number ***. I ordered last night. I received the order today. Even though they had to drive a very long distance. Everything was perfect and the delivery was very very fast. However l was NOT notified that the delivery would come today. What happens if l am not home? Very very glad it all worked out. But you MUST send an sms saying when the delivery will be made!

We couldn't care less
I bought R9000 worth of curtains from the Herm**** branch. They were 4 curtains short of the number l needed. A helpful staff member said we could order the last 4 curtains online. Which she did for me in the shop. The parcel arrived at the Herm**** branch and l picked it up today. Three curtains right and fourth curtain a bright turquoise colour. Totally wrong. Me and the staff member concluded - someone couldn't find the 4th correct curtain and therefore just stuffed any old curtain in the parcel. I was so surprised that this could happen at such a huge and renowned national chain store in South Africa. A more amateurish "couldn't care less" approach l have not experienced before.

Vehicle purchase - excellent service
Bought a new 5-door Jimny from Suzuki Stellenbosch. Was overwhelmed by their excellent service. Professional. Knowledgeable. Their willingness to engage and answer all my questions. Their patience. Their good follow up. Their staff are always available and their quick, easy communication really helps. Doing business with Suzuki Stellenbosch was a real pleasure. And my car is perfect!

Best and easiest carhire in Cape Town
Was supposed to be holidaying in South Africa. Had to cancell because of Corona and European hysteria about the same. Was so impressed with this car hire company, Rentacheapie, I have used many times before. Got all my money back no questions asked. These people can really handle customers. I am no easy customer and yet I have always been met with politeness and willingness to help. I like their straight-no-nonsense-talk. You know where you have them. There's no bull-s*&t. Cars always delivered clean and in perfect working order. Thank you Rentacheapie and especially to Mercy who showed a lot of mercy :) Until next time we meet <3

FNB (First National Bank)

FNB NON-RESIDENT BANKING COMPLETE CHAOS. STAY AWAY FROM THEM
5 years ago l opened a non-resident account with FNB. What started as a normal banking service for me, ended up as a complete and utter disaster 4 years later. The problem lies in the non-resident centre's administration and communication problems. BIG problems. It is utter CHAOS. They put you on hold on the telephone for up to 40 minutes on an international call. It costs the customer HUGE sums of money. FNB does not care about that. To get them to answer emails is almost impossible. When finally someone does answer an email they write they will get back to you. They don't. The simple task of emailing monthly statements to me in Norway they cannot do. I have not received a statement from them for a year. I have no idea what is going on in my bank account because non-residents have no access to internet banking. The staff at the non-resident centre do not talk to each other. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. So when Ethel is helping me by email suddenly l get another email from George asking me how he can help. I explain to George that Ethel is helping me. But Ethel now grows tired so she vanishes. Enter Mabel. Mabel knows nothing about the problem. I explain it all again. Mabel asks me what Ethel was doing to solve the problem? I the customer tell Mabel that l do not know what Ethel was doing. So Mabel says she will find out what Ethel was doing and get back to me. She doesnt. Enter Andrew! Andrew pitches up on email 2 weeks later to ask if my problem is solved. No l reply. After l explain the whole mess to Andrew he asks if l can ring him from Norway because it is easier on the phone. So while l am on the phone to Andrew he tells me he is printing out the statements l need and after he walks to fetch the printed statements while talking to me on the phone in Norway, he says he is now going to scan the statements to me. And he does this while chatting to me on the phone in Norway. And he asks if l can confirm receipt of 2 statements (there are another 10 missing statements). I confirm that l have received 2 statements. Each statement cost me one hour is waisted time. And each statement cost me R350 in waisted international calls. And then suddenly 6 weeks later Regina copies my original email to the WHOLE non-resident centre writing, "this customer needs urgent attention team!" And now 6 months later still no statements from FNB non-resident centre. And we are ready to start it all over again. How on earth a country can function with this kind of banking system is beyond me.

Thrifty Car Hire - a company that hates its customers???
Have a rented car from these people. Until now quite hopeless. They specialise in not responding to phone calls and emails. Have emailed 5 times. No response. Phoned for the fourth time today. Costing a fortune on a foreign cell number. Someone finally answered and said they would ring back. They did not. I have a brand new car with a temporary licence from these people. It expires on 3rd January 2020. I have the car til the 17th January. Will therefore be driving illegally for about two weeks. Told them that on the phone today. They were not the slightest bit interested at all. Confirmation number Confirmation number J***. WHAT DO I DO???
