MotoTech

MotoTech is a good warranty company
I bought a 2014 Audi A3 from Weelee in September 2024 and was forced to get a Warranty. The Warranty was with MotoTech and I was very happy that I had the warranty last year and again this year as my cars gearbox had issues. To fix the gearbox I took the car to Audi and they gave an outragous quote to fix it. MotoTech suggested a other workshop who should give a quote that is within the Warranty limits. I agreed and the car was fixed and the full payment was made by the Warranty. The only thing I would say is read all the documents because if you don't follow the steps of the correct claim proses, it gets declined. This is normal as it is a legal proses and the steps is there to safe guard you and them. MotoTech is highly recommended!!

Nedbank MFC false advertising in written format
It is a great Bank to finance your car, Just do not believe any thing they tell you, even if it is in writing. The reason is because my vehicle finance was seamless, very quick and at a low interest rate. I was under the impression that it would just get better when I received a letter from MFC with Value Added Products (VAPS) that I and my Car qualifies for together with a pre approved amount to be used for the products and all I need to do to get the products is to ask and a consultant would call me. In the letter of VAPS I qualify for was a Services Plan and a Power-up Services Plan (their name for Maintenance plan). I requested for both of them and only received a call for the normal service plan and never call for the power-up service plan (there was other stuff on the letter to, just wasn't interested). the normal service plan consultant told me a other consultant would call for the power-up, I am still waiting 7 months latter. I did repeated email follow-ups to no avail. On the email follow-ups the usual response is just that a consultant would call you but it never happens. One reply actually told me that the power-up is not available for sports cars, I have an Audi A3, so not a sports car.

Vodacom

Vodacom has hidden costs, no fixed cost and some more cost after cancelling the contract.
If you want fixed costs from your services provider, Vodacom is not for you. Quote from Vodacom: "The charges levied by Vodacom may vary from time to time". They will tell you that they will notify you at least 20days in advance that the price has increased even mid contract (Vodacom quote: "Vodacom shall provide you with at least 20 (twenty) business days' notice of such variations before they take effect") which in my case is not true as I received no notification of any price increase at all. On top of the fact that Vodacom do not offer actual monthly fixed cost, basic services like services provider caller ID or "Vas Caller Identity" as Vodacom calls it, is not included in the contract and needs to be requested separately and paid for on a monthly basis. So to put it simply, If you want to know what you are going to pay with no hidden costs ahead of time, a Vodacom contract is not for you. When all this is done and you want to cancel a contract after the expiry date to not incur the monthly costs, you will need to call a cancellations number and ask for the cancellation. In my case again they did not do the cancellation as requested. I followed up on the request but ended up needing to do the request again. Guess what, the second request was also not done. I realized that my second request was also not done when a received an Invoice for a month after the request. I lodged an enquire to Vodacom. A Vodacom consultant called me and told me that she will proses the cancelation but that the account was correct (it was not correct as it was for after my cancellation request) and I need to pay still. You would love Vodacom if you like your accounts to be a mystery or a surprise or pay for more then you want. I know I do not like it, so I will be leaving Vodacom as a Customer as soon as my last contract comes to an end after being a customer for 8 to 9 years. The variable costs was the first time now for me even thou the Vodacom consultant said it happens every 3 years......

Feeling like a criminal with Checkers and RCS
If you want to feel like a criminal at Checkers, try paying with an RCS Card. Today it even got wors for me because they only now realized that my drivers licence is expired 6 months ago and didn't accept my temporary one. Checkers, if you don't trust the RCS network, then remove your self from their list and stop making your customers feel like criminals.

RCS Cards will make you feel like an criminal
If you ever wondered if it is a good idea to get an RCS card, don't. JUST DON"T. The last few months they make you feel like a criminal because they need to have your card authenticated. Until today was kind of okay with this proses. Today at Checkers for the first time sins 10 December 2019 they tell me, I cant pay with the RCS card and Drivers licence sins it expired. I also have a valid temporary licence which was also not acceptable according to them. And if I don't have ID book with me (I don't carry my ID BOOK everywhere with me) I can't pay at all with the RCS Card and need to pay with a other card or cash. I ended up leaving the store empty handed. RCS need to get better security on there cards to avoid this nonsense. On top off this all, you always need to ask if the card is accepted at every store you want to use it at because the agreements could have changed.

FNB Loan
I did a loan Application Yesterday at FNB to pay for the fixing of my S******. I was unhappy with the Interest rate and so declined the offer. About 3hours later I decided to take the loan with the high interest and did a new application on the FNB app sins I didn't find any better options. The application on my FNB app was successful and I received a quote to confirm my loan. I waited until today 10:30 too see the money in my account. The money did not show in my account and also the loan didn't appear on my online profile. I called to find out what was going on. They told me that there is no new loan application on there side I will only be able to make a new application in 24hours time. This will mean that I made a loan at a time that it should not be possible on the app. FNB continued to argue with me that there was no loan made and I needed to proof to them that I made a loan from them. I see this as unacceptable. How can I be possible to make a loan in a time that it should be impossible according to the procedures of FNB and on top of that how is it that the Application does not show on there systems?
