MTN IS BUSY WITH *****-I was unemployed for months so I was unable to pay my full installment. Eventually MTN handed me over to a collection agency. Recently started working at settled my outstanding balance of R12000 last month. I paid it the 20th and called a day or two later to close the account and get my paid up letter. I needed my number reactivated too.On the day I was told I would receive the letter via email within 48hrs. Time passes and still nothing. I call again and get transferred to multiple agents. They honestly have the most useless customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Different agents kept giving me numbers for the legal department because apparently they are suppose to send the letter. The telephone numbers from the agents did not work . The numbers were engaged or it was a number to a random collection agency that my account was not even with. I then logged 3 complaint over 3 weeks and every time I’m just told that a letter has been requested and I’ll receive it soon. Yesterday I got a bill for R920 because mtn put my account on a month to month basis. I didn’t agree to this at all which is *****. I called today again and none of their agents could assist. I’ve logged a case with ICASA now because this is getting nowhere l. Whatever you do,DO NOT GET A CONTRACT WITH MTN. Until today , I have no paid up letter,and my number is still not active.
I’ve called this place numerous times to make payment arrangements for a mobicred account. I managed to speak to someone but when then told that they must go on their Tea Time and that they will assist later. I find that this is unacceptable. I then called five times after that to ask if the payment arrangement is put in place and that I need proof of the arrangement via email or sms. They said I need to wait until they have enough arrangements from other customers first before they can send a bulk sms out to everyone which I’ve never heard off. They also said they don’t send emails stating that arrangements have been made. Why is so difficult for me to pay my account? The staff is on tea or they just drop the call on you. There are people struggling to find work like myself,but *********** people are employed at establishments like this. Disgusting.
Standard bank has been giving me issues regarding honouring fees for the past few months. Again I did a purchase on the 6th of December . I received a sms to say the funds has left my account and what my remaining balance is . On the 14th I see I was a charged a honouring fee for the amount that left my account on the 6th. This is really frustrating because on the day I can see that my balance has gone down but days later I’m charged with fees? I am struggling to find employment for months now and banks are so quick to just take money out your account.
I’ve waited over a month for standard bank to get back to me with regards to my query. And all I get is ,they will get back to me. They very quick to just take money out of your account for literally anything. Do not bank with standard bank, Nedbank is a better alternative.
I’ve had an issue with standard bank and them deducting honouring fees all the time. They have not refunded me the fees that has totalled up to R600 and a honouring fee of R100 has came off my account again this morning because the account was in a negative of R5. I think it’s best to close all accounts with standard bank . How on earth can you charge R700 in honouring fees???? I’m not even working right now and every time I check my account there’s some charge that has come off .Ive spoken to someone about the issue and its a problem a lot of clients have been having. Please sort your system out!
Standard bank is pathetic! They have charged me with honouring fees 8 times! I had funds in my account and have the smses to prove it but 4 days later and they still charging my account and it’s now in a minus.

I would not advise anyone to go to this place for your nails. My own nails broke a week after having them done there. The nail tech also had to borrow equipment from her colleague next to her because she didn’t have certain things. When it came time to pay I waited almost 10 minutes at the front desk until the receptionist acknowledged me . After paying and leaving the place I get a call from her to say she overcharged me and they would eft me the next day. It has been over two weeks and they still haven’t refunded. It’s just a R100 but still
I’ve informed FNB multiple times that I’m currently not working due to being retrenched a year ago and still not able to find work .I’ve made payment arrangements for my FNB products but they still try to debt my cheque account .every month I atleast have 3 or 4 unpaid magtape debits on my account of R110 each . My account is now in a minus of almost a R1000 . This becoming ridiculous,if I have no income and make arrangements to pay alittle on each account per month .why try and debit me .
I submitted for continuation of my benefits on the 24th of august . The last payment I received was the 29th of July . Until today I’ve received no funds and it’s been just over 2 months since I last received funds . I’ve gone to the UIF office In goodwood but the staff is so useless . No one is allowed in side the office due to COVID so everyone’s standing outside on the pavements .the staff don’t assist you when you try to ask them questions . I’ve been calling the call centre for weeks now and every day after waiting over and hour for a answer ,the agent just gives a different excuse to the previous agents I’ve spoken to . I understand that many people lost their jobs due to COVID but honestly the service the UIF has given is pathetic .
