Be careful
<p>Make no mistake, some of the staff try hard, like Cosmos (sp?), but whilst they do repair the original damage (mostly), they cause more!! Some of the admin staff are lacking in customer service training and in our occasion accusatory (of trying to defraud the insurance company???). They are trying to repair their damage now, let's see… OUTSURANCE authorised repair centre - how can that be?</p>

Demolished Post Box!
<p>The media report that the Bryanston Post Office was closed because they did not pay their rent!? In any case, the consequence was that SA Post Office decided to build a new post office at Sloane Square, which previously was just a post box location. Without even a peep of communication, they DEMOLISHED the Sloane Square post boxes. So where do I hear you ask, is the Sloane Square mail going? Well, do not ask the SA Post Office because they clearly have no idea. If the new Sloane Square post office is by some miracle open, the staff will given you a veritable smorgasbord of answers – “go to Randburg”, or “go to Rivonia”. Eventually I found a hidden SA Post Office private bag location in Rivonia who very confidently told me they had our mail but that they could not give it to me (?) – they would send it to Sloane Square. Needless to say it has gone AWOL. Luckily the only people using the post office are the traffic police and the e-Trolls…. Now I am trying to find a way to close my post box…another exercise in sadomasochism? </p>

Never ever go this bank for a mortgage
<p>Banked with Standard Bank for over 30 years and am now seriously considering moving somewhere else because of the inept bureaucracy of their Home Loans division. They not only lost my title deed but also the original mortgage loan documents. Long story short - the loss of my title deed caused substantial delay in transferring the sale of some property, resulting in me incurring tens of thousands of Rand in additional costs (beyond what the ombudsman will deal with). Having promised to resolve the issue, it has now been seven months since the issue was raised - still no resolution. Home Loans had the audacity to say that I had to make a claim against their own lawyers! My Private Banker even has to use the Home Loans call centre and is as frustrated as I am with her own organisation! Don't get me started on their Building Loan process. Never, ever go to Standard Bank for a mortgage.</p>
