Mia & Leah Cape Town
Based on recent customer reviews, Mia & Leah Cape Town is facing serious credibility concerns from its customer base. A recurring theme is the perception that the brand misrepresents itself as a local Cape Town boutique while shipping goods directly from China. Customers consistently mention non-delivery, lengthy waiting periods, unexpected import duties at the Post Office, and poor product quality that does not match website imagery. Many shoppers describe responses as automated or evasive, and several reference alternate trading names appearing on invoices, deepening distrust in the legitimacy of the business.

Ditto all the other posts. This is the worst on-line experience i have ever experienced. Shipping took 3 months, and I had to pay R41,40 to South African post office (nogal- it came by sea) to receive my parcel. Order was placed with free shipping! Item, when finally received, was made from a cheap, synthetic material and not similar to the picture. All responses to my queries were AI generated. My request: PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

From the start this company misleads you. They state on their website that they use The Courier Guy to deliver your order. Come to discover that it is shipped directly from China. Only after numerous emails back and forth, I could locate the parcel. I ordered a pair of sandals, which took more than a month to reach me. I had to collect it at a Post Office 40km away from me and also had to pay another R41 import duties. They never stated that their products comes from China. The sandals were the incorrect size as well as the soles being black like it has been worn before. (I ordered the size 6(39), thinking it would be the UK/South African size, but they sent a size 4(37) instead. Nowhere on their listings does it state whether it is UK or US sizing.) When I contacted them for replacement with the correct size, my only options were to send it back on my own cost and then pay $20 for the replacement, or keep the item and they would refund 25% of the purchase price. I asked for a South African address for the return, but they said it must be returned to an address in The NETHERLANDS!!! Needless to say, I told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine!! And I lost the R800 odd I paid for the shoes that is now 2 sizes too small.

Order was placed on 27/01. To-date I am still waiting for my order. When I followed up, I was told to follow up with customs as to where my order is. 31/03 still no dress received, still no answer from Mia and Leah. R1000 down the drain. This company is a ****. Do not buy from them

My experience with Mia and Leah has been nothing short of awful. It first started in January with zero communication (leading me thinking I'd been ****med). Then a massively long wait time. Now this week (end March) I received an email saying that my order "needed to be picked up". No details given about where it needed to picked up from. I assumed it was from the courier guy, since that was the option I chose on ordering. Eventually I found out it was at the Post Office. I went to collect, only to discover to my horror that I needed to pay import duty of nearly the value of the shoes that I had bought. To add insult to injury, on opening the package (which were poorly packaged at best), the shoes that were sent were the wrong size, and of inferior quality - not what they looked like when I ordered. Still waiting to hear if they're going to do anything about it. No wonder every review for this company on Hello Peter is 1 star.

On 28 January 2026 I ordered a dress from Mia & Lea Cape Town. The advert for the dress noted that the garment was made from a woven fabric with a gathered detail on the front. Information in the advert stipulated that delivery was free by The Courier Guy. During the process of following up, I received communication from Grace & Jess London. On 13 March 2026 I received a dress from China, the dress is made from polyester knit fabric with no gathered detail on the front, which I had to collect and pay for at the Post Office. The amount I paid at the post office for both packages was R121.55. Full refund was promised, however this is also questionable.
