Melon Mobile offers clients a free trial where they promise 5gigs of data, unlimited calls and unlimited smses for 30 days, which is a whole month. For those that don't know, their supposedly'unlimited' option is capped! I just found this out now when I contacted them to load minutes on my profile. Don't fall for their **** words. I am glad I took the trial and did not go to the extent of porting my number and then finding out! Beware of them..this is so misleading to consumers.

This is the worst service provider - very hard to get support. Plus I phoned to cancel my plan in Feb only to discover that I was still being billed in March and April and that it had not been cancelled

I had a 10/10 experience with Kat from Melon Mobile. He was polite, friendly and very helpful. He answered all of my questions and queries, as well as made sure to keep me updated on everything from the moment I made my purchase. I could not have had a better experience and better customer service. Thank you Kat. Keep an eye on your email in 3 months time.

Sandra was fantastic in helping resolve what was a very frustrating issue with my eSIM that caused some of my Apple services to not work correctly. I had some doubts initially but he told me to trust him and it ended up resolving the issue.

I have been having trouble with the service since December 2025, where the SIM card loses connection to any network tower and drops latency. I have had interviews, meetings and sales calls drop in mid sentence losing revenue and job prospects. Each time I contact them, they send me the same troubleshooting instructions, which don’t always work and I get left without service for days. Then I ask them for a refund of the monthly subscription and I get told no. They are not willing to take any accountability for the lack of service and instead tell me the data and call credits were not depleted. What about the interview opportunity lost as people couldn’t reach me? What about the revenue lost in sales, as I couldn’t close the pitch or sale with a customer? At least Jamie - Service Agent, had the decency to acknowledge the frustration and have some empathy even though there was not much he could do to resolve the issue and it is still ongoing!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I am very disappointed 😞 with 5GB ends within days, when I contact support Benn sends me a report where default used much data, when I asked what is default he says I might have been updating my phone , I told him that I use wifi when updating, he then said I can see it was used. Not sure if this is because Im on trail, but I'm now doubting the Melon Mobile especially with the support agent who are not so supportive, I wouldn't have used 5GB in 2 days I feel ****med at this point

The whole experience on moving from Vodacom to Melon was truly a positive experience. It's a breath of fresh air to work with them especially compared to vodacom!
