They serve cold food without salt, serviettes and care is generally poor as one has to wait for ages to be helped from toilet back to bed. I cannot see the purpose of serving dessert in a square dish with sloping sides which is very awkward to use in a medical situation. Service generally poor and well below medical care standards.

My ma het verlede jaar n groot galblaas operasie gehad en moes n maand in Eugene Marais gele het sy was toe ook incubated vir meer as 2 weke . Nou in 2021 Covid moes My Moeder was vir amper 2 maande in Eugene Marais hospitaal wees . Toe ek daar kom was my moeder se rug vol sere . Nou hoekom het Medstep dit nie vir my gese of gewys nie . Nooit nooit ooit sal enige van my familie daarheen gaan nie .

My dad had his forth stroke and was transferred from Medforum to MedStep Clinic, he got discharged on Monday and Tuesday when my mother bathed him he was so dirty, he was even having dirt in between his toes, his ears was having yellow things, it's even embarrassing to mention other parts of the body that he had dirt on. My mother asked him if they where bathing him and he said No.... Imagine by that time we been paying for his stay there. ? Come to think of it, we would also send pampers there on a Friday come Monday they demanding more pampers and we found it very weird because even one of the care givers was surprised when we complained about the pampers and he said but how because your husband has a stomach problem so he wouldn't use much pampers. Something was just not right at all. I would never suggest that they take anyone to that place never.

I was in a motor car accident on the 7th March 2018 and was hospitalised in Montana Netcare Hospital. The injuries I sustained were a broken left lower arm, broken left elbow, broken left knee and torn ligaments in the left ankle. The operations were a success and the doctor requested physiotherapy should be done and that I be transferred to a Rehabilitation facility because I stay alone at home and need to learn how to care for myself. The doctor also told Medihelp that a Step down Clinic would not be suitable for the rehabilitation that I needed. Medihelp refused this and insisted that I be sent to the Med Step Clinic. At 16h00 on Friday 23rd March 2018 I was handed an account for R22500 for the next 4 days if I did not go immediately to the Med Step Clinic. After the nursing staff at Montana Netcare hospital tried calling the Doctor numerous times and not getting through, I was transferred to the Med Step Clinic on the 24th March 2018 at 12h00. The Staff were polite and tried their best. However the equipment was not up to standard for my condition. The Comode was not suitable for my body type. Toilet was too small for the comode to fit into. It took 3 nursing staff to assist me to take me to the toilet with the comode. The Bed's Headboard and foot board are broken and the bed's brake was not working. The Matrass was wet underneath. On night shift I was humiliated and my dignity was not respected as a Male nurse was used to take me to the toilet. My rights according to the Patients rights charter was violated. There was also no Physiothe****** available for the whole weekend. I did submit a "Patient Complaint Form" on 26/03/2018 and have had no response up to this date. This form has also no telephone number, email or address on it. I did state that I could be contacted on my cell between 09h00 and 14h00 of any day. We had to search on the internet for the Contact details of this Establishment Thankyou Alette
