Our bill was 1140 including tip,me and my friend split the bill,my portion was 350 and hers 790. The waiter tapped 790 twice,we think it was on purpose cause there’s no way 790 x 2 can amount to 1140. I then spoke to one of their managers they apologized and promised to fix it and never did,the promised me to refund me my R440 but even now I’m still waiting. Poor service indeed,I’m thinking they’re in this together overcharging customers for their own good.

The waiter and service we got are great. The place looks clean and super aesthetic.😭😭😭The issue is the food, it's dry, and there's too much of everything. There's carrots in every dish. I swear that place is super great, the problem is the chef.

I want to express my disappointment with the service we received from Mamasambas in Rosebank this evening. My partner and I had been there before and had a good experience so we decided to come back. Firstly, Leonard, who was assisting us, told us we could not sit where we had sat last time because the table is ‘too big’ and so we couldn't sit there on the off chance that a bigger group comes (I would have understood if the table was reserved but that was not the case). Secondly, we were directed to another table and told to wait for it while it was being prepared. Once the table was ready and we had sat down to look through the menu Leonard directed us once again to leave the table as the other group he was serving in the table next to us was expecting more people. Once we raised our concerns and expressed that we were not comfortable with being moved once again, he told us that he would simply not serve us and that we can leave. I find the service to have been extremely disappointing and the manner in which we were treated unprofessional. I hope to see better organization in the future and better service.

went there for a date night. It was quite full so we got shoved in the corner by the bar downstairs, which isn’t great if you want to eat. Had to continuously beg for service. Drinks took forever. When we ordered the food also took forever. When it eventually did arrive the steak was burnt beyond recognition and the R350 ribs (no sides) tasted like it had been soaked and basted in sunlight dishwashing liquid, the sushi (also expensive) was average. I was literally so unimpressed. For those prices and the kind of high end vibe they’re advertising I would expect good service & decent food. The only thing they have going for them is the decor & the one, overly priced but at least tasted nice, ****tail.

I am so disappointed by this place. When my partner and I entered everything seemed great. Once we sat down things changed, we waited 20 minutes to get service after that we waited for our drinks which took 18 minutes(drinks are the fastest thing you would get at any restaurant). We kept getting different waiters and the one laughed at me when I ordered a glass of wine which came in a glass not in a wine serving glass.The wine tasted like diluted pee.Fine, no problem we waited for our food which took 35 minutes!!! I was honestly lost for words the food didn't even taste great.The service is beyond disgusting, you find some chefs on their phone and waiters not serving. Even when we complained to the manager, Sanele did nothing about it. I regret coming here.

I am so disappointed by this place. When my partner and I entered everything seemed great. I had to the worst experience at this restaurant. They made me pay twice for my meal due to network issues. The manager Sandile advised that he will refund me the next day if he is over (after balancing). One week later he contacted me to advise that he was over by R530 and that he would Refund me. He told me to contact the owner Mike to speed up the refund process. I contacted Mike and he told me that he would refund me. It is now One month later, Mike(The owner) cuts my calls and does not respond to my WhatsApp messages. I am so frustrated with these people

Service was so Terrible, the waiter didn’t even attend to us sitting outside until 30 min with no menus. On top of that there are people to sit you down but didn’t pay attention and don’t check on guest I had to get up go ask for a menus and still took a lot of time to come. Only the assistance waiter the small girl help open our wine and no one came afterward to pour for us. No one comes to check if our food was okay. Only come back to clean mxm … we asked for sits inside we were told it was fully booked but had empty chairs inside until we left no one was there … the food was the same as the service terrible and disgusting. I’m so disappointed as it was my birthday and first time visiting the location. It really brings shame to know how terrible the food industry is in SA, as I am international food traveler. Really disappointed
