Based on recent customer reviews, LGR Attorneys is drawing significant dissatisfaction across its debt collection operations. Customers consistently mention persistent harassment through SMS and calls, often for accounts already settled or belonging to unrelated individuals. A recurring theme is poor communication, with clients reporting unanswered emails, lengthy hold times, and difficulty obtaining paid-up letters or settlement confirmations. Many express frustration over payments not being allocated correctly and accounts remaining open on credit bureaus. A small number of customers acknowledge individual consultants who showed patience and professionalism, but these positive experiences are heavily outweighed by service complaints.

I have given three stars because I did not deal long with this company. It started when I received a new phone number, I sent a few replies stating I was not the person that they thought I was, to SMS legal messages addressed to me, but to no avail, eventually I sent an email, and then they responded promptly and struck my number from their list. I cannot say how good they are, but I can say that they were very persistant.

This is most horrible law company that takes sides not dealing with really matter on hands. Maybe because Bluu car rentals is a big company and I'm just a poor black man not having enough money to challenge them.

Horrible, even after I paid the settlement offer, they still continued to debit my account for 4 months. Now I find myself fighting for a refund, there isn't even clear communication on when I will even get it. 😠😠😠😠😠😠

I am continuously receiving messages and calls from LGR Attorneys regarding a Standard Bank credit card that has nothing to do with me. I have told your team every single day that you have the wrong person, and yet the harassment continues. I have had this number for 15 years. There is no valid reason for you to keep contacting me. Each time I call, I am promised that my number will be removed, but those promises clearly mean nothing as I am contacted again the very next day. Today, your agent even suggested that the person you are trying to reach may have died and somehow kept this number active for 15 years—which is completely unreasonable and unacceptable. I have already been escalated to a manager who assured me this would be resolved, yet nothing has been done. This ongoing harassment is unacceptable. You need to remove my number from your system immediately and ensure that I am not contacted again.

I have a lendplus account that was paid in February of 2025 yet remains open on my credit reports. LGR confirmed payment was received and gave me the settlement letter. However lendplus demands that LGR sends them the payment file in order for the account to be closed. I have sent proof of payment as well as the settlement letter but lendplus is refusing to close the account because they are stating that LGR did not send through the payment file to them. Please speak to lendplus and send the payment file because I have sent it numerous times and they are refusing to close it. LGR has informed me that payment was received and the account is closed on their side. However lendplus is demanding that LGR sends the payment file through to them because they are stating nothing was received on their side. Please can someone send the information needed through to them. I have sent the settlement letter numerous times but they are refusing to close the account until LGR provides the payment file. I have sent through an email to you and lendplus as well explaining the issue. My ID number is the subject line.

Subject: Formal Dispute – Unauthorised Payment Recorded February 2025 (Account ) To whom it may concern, I formally dispute the alleged payment of R50.00 recorded on my account in February 2025. I did not make, authorise, or instruct any such payment. If this payment was processed or allocated to the account by your organisation or any third party without my consent, this constitutes an unauthorised transaction and a serious misrepresentation of the account history. You are hereby required to provide the following within 7 days: Proof of payment for the alleged R50.00 transaction. The payment method used. The originating bank account from which the payment was made. The payment reference and allocation record. A full statement of account from inception to date. Be advised that if you are unable to produce verifiable proof that this payment was made by me or authorised by me, the entry must be removed immediately and the account history corrected accordingly. Recording or allocating payments to an account without the debtor’s authorisation in order to interrupt the prescription period raises serious legal and regulatory concerns. The matter has already been escalated to the Legal Practice Council and further complaints will be submitted to the relevant regulators should this issue not be resolved promptly.
