Their campaign to get R6000 of advertising "free" is very misleading. Only after creating an ad, and spending over R800 (they debit your account) I realized you have to SPEND R6000 to get your "free" R6000. Shame on you, Google. That's an underhanded tactic. Plus I only got one click in the 6 days the promo ran- so over R800 for only one click- that's pathetic advertising. I'd like a refund, please.

On December 17, 2024, my Google Ads account was breached, and a *****ulent phishing campaign was created, resulting in huge unauthorized ad spend. I only noticed when three debits were withdrawn from my bank account on the same day. I immediately paused the campaign, reset my password, and contacted Google Ads support. They responded quickly with a list of security steps, which I followed. However, when I asked whether I would be refunded for the *****ulent charges, I was completely ignored. Instead of addressing my concern, they sent generic emails about reactivating my account. Each time I asked about a refund, my question was dismissed. Eventually, one support agent told me that refunds were not possible because the charges were “due to spend.” When I provided clear evidence that the spend was done by a hacker, my messages were ignored. I opened another case, but for weeks, I only received copy-paste responses saying they were "looking into it." Then, instead of providing any resolution, Google Ads suspended my account and blocked reactivation—without any explanation. At no point did they clearly say whether hacked accounts are eligible for refunds. They simply ignored my concerns, took my money, and shut down my account. Must be nice to be a massive company that can walk over small business owners without accountability. I strongly warn others — If your account gets hacked, don’t expect any help — they’ll just take your money and ignore you.

I am highly dissapointed at the way google Ads does business, just when i thought it is better to grow my business on the private platform only to be ****** of my hard earned money. No customer support to help my business to grow. When i want to cancel their service they have no proper support and they continue to debit my business account till my balance is 0. When i thought doing business on private was better than the goverment. It really does show that small businesses we are on our own, very sad struggling small business owner

Suddenly received 3 x R2000 deductions from GoogleAds. Never subscribed - do not have a business. Impossible to contact this company. I have opened a ***** case at the bank but that could take ages to resolve. Disgusting that someone - obviously from the company itself would do this sort of thing.

I placed an ad with Google ads. It was very confusing and not straight forward. Wanted to speak with someone, and send several emails, nobody cares for 5 days - "the case still in progress" VERY DISAPPOINTED. Your Line connection is also ****.

I have been struggling with google ads policy for 3 months now. My ads were running perfectly for the entire year. I have tried contacting Google Ads support to no avail and it is now starting to affect my business. I have even changed web hosting suppliers and rebuilt a new website to sort out there apparent policy violation and still the exact same error occurs.

Can you believe these okes? Google and Google Ads have been absolutely horrendous concerning simple customer support. I’ve literally been trying to speak to a human for 2 weeks. 6 weeks after initiating contact and 3 weeks after Vivekanand at their office assured me that my issue was sorted. I assume that Vivekand has passed away, as he hasn’t responded to my mails in 3 weeks (and on that topic, please send my regards to his family Google Chrome… I am an accomplished pianist and organist, and I will gladly provide my services at his funeral for free should ANYONE anywhere in the world from your offices contact me). I HAVE tried contacting you on the national number 0800 000 777) but a voiceprompt has been on saying that you’re not taking calls. I also tried contacting your offices in other English speaking countries to no avail (Dubai, UK, numerous African coutries and so on). Drove to the Google office (hidden on the 3rd floor of an obscure office block in Sandton) this morning and got told to go **** myself. Not in as many words, but that’s what it came down to. I told the receptionist I need to speak to anyone - be it in customer service, be it in marketing, sales, tech, ANY one. No sorry sir. Please log a ticket, here’s a paper with the address. After insisting a bit longer, a bouncer was called to remove me. Smallish oke who I would’ve put on his nose without much trouble if I wanted to. One would think that it would be possible for one of the biggest (if not the biggest) companies in the world like Google Maps and their affiliates to value the customers they have enough to provide support, but alas… I’m making this post public. If anyone actually AT Google could inbox me I will gladly provide ticketnumbers, e-mails, my contact number, whatever is required to qualify for a 5 minute phone-call to resolve this issue that would be great. Not holding my breath though. Roelof Strydom, ad account nr 553-122-4440.
