Amongst the most Insensitive Actions employed by the Western Cape Municipal Revenue Department is the practice of the collection of Rates and Taxes from Indigent and or Rates assisted Persons who have Passed On. The Executors of these Estates need to get a Rates Clearance Certificate from them in order to transfer the Deceased’s Property. I need to Point out that this Policy applies to the Living Indigent Person’s as well. Alive or Dead the Cape Town Council will Bleed the Financially Challenged People of the little funds they might or might not have. Pathetic ******ion. No Respect for the poorer citizens. Being Indigent means that at the time of their death, they weren’t paying any Rates and Taxes but apparently after they die, the council feels the need to “loot” the already financially challenged Persons Estate by imposing rates onto the Deceaseds Property. This then puts the estate under extreme financial pressure and, in a lot of cases, the Executors are forced to sell the property to pay the City Council the outstanding Rates. Disgusting behaviour. Zero Respect for the individual after their Passing. I have Emailed almost everyone I could contact but it falls on deaf ears. Heartless bunch of Individuals. From the Top down, nobody even offers an explanation. They pass the buck to the Legal Department who still haven’t come up with a coherent explanation on why this policy is being implemented. I’ve also given them weeks to respond but received nothing. They cannot seem to grasp the Huge Difference between an Indigent Person’s and a Non Indigent Person’s Financial Circumstances . It’s a bloodsucking, Money Grabbing Practice that reeks of Greed. As there are a lot of Indigent Property Owners out there Please be aware of this practice. As heirs you will be impacted in one way or another. Be Aware.

Had a very nasty experience at Groote Schuur hospital the food was uneatable, some of the nurse's necklet the patients they restrict visiting times you have no contact with the outside world it was the worst experience of my life, it gave me post-traumatic stress, there's no email address that I can request the reason I was sent to that horrible hospital and not to the one that falls in my area, from there they sent me to Valkenburg where a student interviewed me for the amount of R150 that was paid to me asking me to spit into a bottle and asking me ridiculous questions, I had to sign a form to get the R150, it's a joke that they can study patients in government hospitals for free like we are some kind of Ginni *** then my sister x husband sent me to a treatment center in the forest of Knysna, then covid hit, and I was stuck there and worst of all I can't even find an email address to tell me why they put me through the trauma. would not recommend them rather try and get on to a medical add like discovert

I am placing this on record to highlight a severe governance failure by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) regarding a R1.1 million dispute (Bet ID ***). Despite clear evidence of operator misconduct by Easybet, the WCGRB has failed to exercise its statutory powers, undermining consumer protection in the province. Key Grounds for this Rating: * Failure to Enforce Licence Conditions: The WCGRB allowed an unapproved product, "Hot Safari 50,000," to be offered to the public despite written confirmation from the Western Cape Ministry of Finance that it was not authorized. * Reliance on Void Documents: The Board is improperly treating this matter as "finalised" by relying on a "goodwill settlement" that expired on the 17th. I signed on the 18th, making the document legally null and void, yet the WCGRB uses it to stop their investigation. * Use of Irrelevant Evidence: In declining enforcement action, the WCGRB re**** on "Zygis Test" logs—simulated data from a developer account that had nothing to do with my actual wager. * Extreme Administrative Delay: This matter has remained unresolved for approximately 580 days. This is a direct violation of the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act (PAJA), which requires a lawful, reasoned decision. * Misleading "Clean Audit" Claims: While this investigation into R1,170,000.00 was active and irregularities were known, the WCGRB reportedly represented a "clean audit" to the Provincial Parliament. Conclusion: The WCGRB has chosen to protect an operator over a consumer, ignoring their own rules and South African law. I am calling on the Western Cape executive oversight authorities to step in, ensure a lawful outcome, and hold the Board accountable for this collapse in regulatory integrity.
