Amongst the most Insensitive Actions employed by the Western Cape Municipal Revenue Department is the practice of the collection of Rates and Taxes from Indigent and or Rates assisted Persons who have Passed On. The Executors of these Estates need to get a Rates Clearance Certificate from them in order to transfer the Deceased’s Property. I need to Point out that this Policy applies to the Living Indigent Person’s as well. Alive or Dead the Cape Town Council will Bleed the Financially Challenged People of the little funds they might or might not have. Pathetic ******ion. No Respect for the poorer citizens. Being Indigent means that at the time of their death, they weren’t paying any Rates and Taxes but apparently after they die, the council feels the need to “loot” the already financially challenged Persons Estate by imposing rates onto the Deceaseds Property. This then puts the estate under extreme financial pressure and, in a lot of cases, the Executors are forced to sell the property to pay the City Council the outstanding Rates. Disgusting behaviour. Zero Respect for the individual after their Passing. I have Emailed almost everyone I could contact but it falls on deaf ears. Heartless bunch of Individuals. From the Top down, nobody even offers an explanation. They pass the buck to the Legal Department who still haven’t come up with a coherent explanation on why this policy is being implemented. I’ve also given them weeks to respond but received nothing. They cannot seem to grasp the Huge Difference between an Indigent Person’s and a Non Indigent Person’s Financial Circumstances . It’s a bloodsucking, Money Grabbing Practice that reeks of Greed. As there are a lot of Indigent Property Owners out there Please be aware of this practice. As heirs you will be impacted in one way or another. Be Aware.
This once Semi Efficient Day Clinic was Doing fairly well a few Years ago but that’s all gone to Hell. The blatant incompetence and inefficiency has rocketed to an all new Level. For the past Year and a half they have managed to lose, misplace, not have the correct Signature for my medication and turn a Very simple process of Collecting my medication in a game of Russian Roulette. They have consistently *****ed Up my, and many others, collection of Two Medications every Single Visit. It turns a One to Two hour visit into a day long exercise. Completely useless and pathetic.
To Marshall and the Brilliant Team at Cool Serve a huge thank you for coming to our Rescue after the Original Installers Let us down at the last minute. This installation was in a CPOA Facility in Claremont. My 85 year old Mother has been a resident there for two years and found the flat she’s Bought extremely hot as it faces North West. The Cool Serve team jumped in and did the installation on the original day planned with no fuss or fanfare. (One Days Notice) Very Well Done. She is over the moon with the result and exceptionally pleased at the new level of comfort she’s experiencing. Keep up the great work. 👌👌👌😎
To Mogamat and Team, Plumstead Prep School would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation for the Kindness and Community Spirit shown in the Donation and Installation of the New Signage at the Main Entrance of the School. It looks Amazing. This was done with the help of the PNW (Anthea) and Mogamat didn’t hesitate in volunteering his Companies Service. The gesture and Installation was completed by Prestaprint Staff Brilliantly and Professionally. The service is greatly appreciated.
The individual team that has done the work for the last 5 years I’ve lived at this address have done a wonderful job. I feel sorry for them but won’t be blindsided by their “bosses” The management of this business are way out of touch and after the previous owner passed on, they felt the need to increase the maintenance fee by 25% (R60). Ridicules. Their excuse. It apparently takes longer to cut now. Strange as nothing has changed in the 5 years we’ve lived here. 🤔🤔 The Wheel Turns. Karma is a brilliant Leveller! Needless to say they have lost a customer.
The Family of Mrs Merle Delport would love to express our gratitude and Huge Thanks to Chariot Health Organisation for their support and dedication when we were Dealing with a devastating medical condition suffered by Our Family Member. Their efficiency and support, and in particular Dr Jana Weenink, was outstanding. Straight forward advice in these situations is never easy to hear but was done with huge empathy and respect, which us as the Family really appreciated. They made our family member comfortable and pain free in her last moments of life. Something that brought a lot of comfort to us. This type of care is a “calling” and the Doctor and staff were brilliant in their approach and dedication to helping Mrs Delport and us as the family. Mrs DELPORT’S Decision to be at Home was her final wish and the fact that the Doctor attended to her at home was a blessing. Outstanding. Thanks again to everyone for your Support and Dedication and Keep up this very Valuable Service. The Patients family really appreciates it.
As a Hone owner on a Pensioners (Sassa) income we bought our monthly electricity for R2300.00. This is the current state You've bought R1 940.90 electricity (571kwh) for XYZ Person. R67.97 utility charges were deducted. Purchase token: XX63 51XX 22XX 2XX5 XX14 Total of R360.00 in vat and surcharge on the R2300.00 monthly payment. Madness and unsustainable. To get any “relief” you are made to jump through so many hoops it’s completely useless. Our income doesn’t keep pace with the inflation, hence these ridiculous increases and rates bills are wiping out the majority of the older generation. 🤬🤬🤬 YOU ARE Impoverishing the Poor to Middle Class Citizens. Totally unacceptable and Disgusting Treatment of citizens who have worked their whole life’s to make and support the Country we live in successfully. Contributing to the Tax’s and Economy. Old age is a “Death Sentence” as the Government and Municipalities starve us slowly but surely. We’ve outlived our Usefulness. Shameless. Fat Cats.
This “Promo” is a total sham. What a Joke 😡 After filling up the 4 times and swiping both my BP and Smart Shopper Card I’ve not received any codes or SMS to allow me to claim the Promotion Gift. I’ve emailed PnP Smart Shopper who told me it’s only a BP promotion and they have nothing to do with the actual Car Prizes. I also emailed BP who, as per usual, haven’t even bothered to reply or in anyway inform me about the issue. The BP Service Station I use is and always has been brilliant but naturally their hands are tied. The BP Rewards Program is solely to blame. Their lack of customer service and interaction is shocking. This is the second time that they have disappointed me with regards to their poor customer support. Needless to say they have lost a longstanding customer for good. While I’m only one customer they have lost, I’m sure there are other customers in a similar situation. Ironically I live right next door to the BP Service station which has been very convenient. The Owners are also lovely friendly people and I’m sorry I won’t be using their services anymore. Well done BP Headquarters and Rewards. You have cost your Outlets a customer. Great job 💪 Still get these meaningless SMS’s Last chance to swipe and collect all 6 cars! Fill up R500+ 4x, swipe Smart Shopper & BP Rewards cards & redeem 1x Collectable Car. Ends 3 Aug. T&C. SPOUT=optout Pathetic
After having been insured by A&G for over 4 and a half years, a simple request has forced me to look elsewhere for all my short-term insurance. While the staff of A&G are usually very friendly, it just take’s one disinterested,****y and Dismissive individual to sour the deal. After send emails to them asking if they were able to add a particular type of product, this individual basically dismissed my request, rather rudely and offered no alternative or information to assist me in obtaining this particular product. They have lost my business as there are many companies who are willing to go the extra mile and assist their clients with a smile. So to A&G, your staff are your business. The few that have zero work ethic need to be sanctioned. Your company has lost my R 800.00 pm premium and I will now be enjoying, not only a better rate but people that are willing to help out with a smile. Good riddance.
I’m pleased to see the Dstv Subscribers are showing their consumer power by Leaving the Platform in their Collective Millions. Dstv has Ripped the Consumers off for so long because of its Monopoly in the market , people would rather do without it or find more cost effective ways to watch their preferred programs or sports. Having been a Premium Subscriber for 20 plus years , the cost I am paying is ridiculous. 90 % of the content are repeats going back many years. Pathetic Being charged over. R1000.00 a month to see content I’ve watched 4 years ago is shocking. Their apps are developed by a kindergarten student by the look of things and not worth even mentioning. The pricing Model leaves a lot to be desired and way out of touch with was they deliver. Consumers, Vote with your wallet and Let Dstv fold. They “Deaf” to their Customers so Leaving the Dstv platform is our best action. Dstv’s Arrogant attitude towards their customers Will come back to bite them.
