Worst Vehicle Repair Shop in South Africa.
They charge for parts that they don’t replace, or they use cheap inferior parts that do not last when they repair vehicles. Do you really want Violet Automotive to work on your vehicle? Not Recommended!!!

Violet Auto No Respect, Poor communication and service.
First time there and never going back, did not even get a chance to get work done with Preshan and Jonathan's attitude (eventually out right refused to help), no respect or any acknowledgement for concerns raised against poor communication an attitude and a very unclear service/ product offering, literally had to agonise over asking product related information, wonder how they operated so long, bad service and mounting Hell Peter complaints - with no replies to customets ofcourse, **********. No Thanks, still looking for some assistance in Randburg for lights. 😞.

Bad people skills
I had a meeting with Violet Automotive in Randburg, and went to see them to discuss thing I wanted to change on my two vehicles headlights. On arrival at the main gate I was told by the security that they want to take a photo of my drivers license which I refused seeing that there is so much ***** with ID and licenses in South Africa and due to the fact that it is unconstitutional. I then phoned the person I had the meeting with Sugar Moodley and asked him if he could please come and sign me in. Her said a technician will come and sign me in. After about 15 minutes two man arrived with a very snotty and bad attitude saying that I have to park my vehicle outside and come with them. I have not been treated like this in a long time and hope that if this is the way that they handle or treat customers that people will not use them to work on clients cars. If they treat a client like this, how will they do their work on a clients car. There are other companies that are to glad to get your business and treat you professionally. Don't use this company.

Car service
I've been servicing my 2 cars Hyundai H1 and VW Polo with Violet Automotive for 3 year now, I never had any issues in my cars. They are very professional hand helpful also cost effective. Keep up the good work guys.

Car service

Water in Lights
A couple of months ago I took my vehicle to Violet Automotive for the lights repair and a service. I can't complain regarding the service but the lights have been a problem ever since. While having the vehicle for a week upon collection I noticed the one light had water in it, I had to leave my vehicle there for another couple of days. I collected the vehicle and noticed that the other light was getting water into it. I took the vehicle back again for couple of days and collected it, then I noticed the light was not installed correctly. I spend nearly 3 hours there waiting for them to sort out the problem and they couldn't fix it. They then wanted to send it to a panel beater to realign the light correctly, to wat I said no due to the vehicle was going in for bumper repairs and they can realign the light for me. Now once again with the rain we having that same light has go water in it agian this being I paid about R2000 for labor to take the light apart and put it back together. Think twice before repairing your lights there, endless problems. But this complaint doesn't include there service department at all. Its unacceptable to pay that much for labor and the light aren't sealed or fitted correctly. What are you paying for then?

STAY AWAY
Worst experience ever. We booked in a Land Rover Freelander 2 at Violet Automotive in Strijdom Park. We received a quotation for R23000 ,and had a face to face meeting to discuss the above and was assured that this was the problem, which then ended up costing us R27087.00. After paying this amount the engine still wasn't repaired and a further R9528.24 to repair the cylinder head was quoted and paid for. They then miss diagnosed that the turbo rear bearing was faulty and they wanted to charge another R15000 to have this repaired. We then took the car to alpine turbo who then sorted out the turbo for R4830. The engine has now seized. The owner then suggested that we get the Engineer that worked on the cylinder head to give his opinion, this didn't happen. The owner then suggested we get a Landrover specialist to give their opinion and said that, the Turbo was the cause of the engine seizing up and not the work of Violet Automotive. After a lengthily meeting at the specialist, they assured us that the turbo wasn't leaking oil and was not the cause for the engine seizing. After spending almost R40 000.00 and driving 200 kms in the Landrover from when we got vehicle back from the turbo specialist .The owner of Automotive sent a WhatsApp saying they are not accepting any liability for the Freelander. Please protect yourselves and stay away.
