Scores reflect the Overall AI Score for each category
Based on recent customer reviews, Transunion Credit Bureau is described as deeply frustrating, with consumers citing unresolved disputes, persistent debt review flags after settlement, and inaccessible support channels. Customers repeatedly report that paid-up letters and clearance certificates are ignored, prescribed debts remain listed, and dispute outcomes lack transparency. A small number of positive interactions reference helpful named agents, but these are heavily outweighed by complaints about communication breakdowns and reporting accuracy.

Based on recent customer reviews, Transunion Credit Bureau is described as deeply frustrating by the vast majority of consumers. Customers report unresolved disputes, debt review flags that linger after clearance certificates, prescribed accounts that remain listed, and near impossible access to live agents. Isolated praise exists for named consultants, but the dominant experience is one of broken communication, inaccurate credit data, and a dispute process customers consider ineffective.
The most common complaint about Transunion Credit Bureau, based on Hellopeter's AI analysis of recent customer reviews, is Trust, Transparency & Compliance. Customers repeatedly describe inaccurate credit profiles, prescribed debt remaining listed, debt review flags persisting after clearance, and alleged NCA non-compliance. Many escalate to the NCR and Credit Ombud. Trust, Transparency & Compliance (1.0) is the most damaging theme, with consumers feeling misled and financially harmed.

I have logged a disputes since the 13th of April 2026 and submitted ALL supporting evidence as required on the same day but up until now they are not able to close it dispite having a turn around time of 20 workings and we are now well over the 20 workings days. Each time I call they tell me that there was a delay from their end and they are escalating the issue but nothing happens. my credit score doesnt reflect because of this and I am literally blocked from the credit market. funny enough I am a sbscribed member and they have just lost one member.

Dear TransUnion, I am writing to formally request the immediate closure of dispute reference number 01713246. The dispute has already passed its expected closing/resolution date, yet it still appears to remain open. I have made several follow-up calls regarding this matter and am frustrated by the continued delays and lack of resolution.

I lodged a dispute with TransUnion regarding an incorrect default listing. They issued me a formal outcome letter confirming that the dispute was resolved and the default would be removed from my profile. Despite this, the default remains. When I followed up, TransUnion admitted no investigation had been done and insist I re‑log a new dispute effectively sweeping the original, valid dispute under the rug. This is unacceptable. Once a dispute is confirmed as valid and an outcome letter is issued, TransUnion has a duty to honor it. Forcing consumers to restart the process undermines trust and violates the spirit of the National Credit Act, which places the burden of proof on the bureau, not the consumer.

I am writing to formally raise my dissatisfaction regarding the handling of my disputes and the poor communication I have received from your customer service department. Dispute Case Number: 01631667 This dispute expired a few weeks ago and still has not been resolved or closed. I have contacted TransUnion several times and was repeatedly informed that the matter had been escalated to the relevant department. However, until today, the dispute remains active even though the 20-day resolution period has already passed. Dispute Case Number: 01713252 I opened this dispute on 16 April 2026. On 15 May 2026, after personally following up with a phone call to enquire about the progress and expiry date of the dispute, I was informed for the first time that the dispute had not been opened because your team could not access my Identity Document attachment. At no point prior to my follow-up was I notified that there was an issue with the attachment or that I needed to resend my ID via email. I have now sent my ID document to the email address provided by your consultant, but I was informed that I would need to wait another 20 days, despite the delay being caused by a lack of communication from your side. It is extremely disappointing to receive this level of service, especially considering the importance and urgency of credit dispute matters. Customers should be informed promptly when documents cannot be accessed, rather than discovering this only after making repeated follow-ups themselves. I request: 1. Immediate feedback on both disputes. 2. Closure or resolution of Case Number 01631667 without further delay. 3. Confirmation that Case Number 01713252 has now been properly opened and is being processed.

The dispute department at TransUnion is in shambles. My dispute was supposedly resolved in my favour over 40 days ago, yet the case is still not closed and the disputed flag remains on my profile. Constant follow ups lead nowhere and no one seems willing to properly assist. Very poor service and unacceptable delays.
