The quality of food had dropped, guess they have new chefs. I was very disappointed with the biryani. It’s been many years that the biryani was always delicious but now the taste has really dropped. Also even other recipes we ordered was so oily

This the the absolute best Indian Cuisine restuarant in Johannesburg and possibly in South Africa. The furniture may be outdated however the food is simply the best in class. Outstanding fresh meals on the specials board each day. I have also tried the take out options which has been superbly packed with great care and pride. Well done to this team, keep up the great standard.

Best Indian curry and fresh naan bread out their. Service on point and music ambience is so calming and relaxing. Any curry type is available, veg or non veg and something for the younger kids as well. Can not wait to got back for my birthday next month.

Delightful, authentic experience. The prawn korma and kurfi : delicious! But what really made my evening was the service. Vinod, attended to my table and was such a wonderful gentleman. The level of attentiveness, concern, preempting the guests wants was unparalleled. This is the level of service one would get at a 5 star hotel and nothing less. Compliments to the chef and the staff at Sunninghill!

My partner and I have ordered food from them quite a lot of times and there is a lack of consistency. When we first started dining there we were impressed but as of tonight I am never going to order anything ever again. My partner an I decided to order from a Taste of punjab as we were moving and we would not have been able to make dinner. We are pescatarian and our options were limited. We ordered 2 sugar bean bunny chows. When I unwrapped the foil I noticed a2white objects in my meal. I took it out and it was maggots. I almost threw up. Maggots appear when something is rotten or spoiled. This makes me wonder if they are selling old stock caused from the lockdown. Before the lockdown began we had supper at the restaurant. My partner ordered paneer. This was my first time eating it. At first I enjoyed it but the last portion of the paneer tasted funny and had a funny texture. I told my patner "I thought that it was off", my partner told me that it was probably fine. He did not eat that portion. I found it odd that it had a different texture and a different taste. After witnessing 2 maggots in my bean bunny chow I am pretty sure that the paneer was actually gone off. I am sick to my stomach to think that they are serving food made up of rotten food items.
