It appears that Premier primarily responds to customers through this platform. I previously contacted their customer care line via email but did not receive any response. My email included photographs of the packaging, which showed a dead moth and web-like strands inside the product. A further concern is the lack of essential information printed on the packaging. I understand that details such as the production date, best-before date, and batch identification are typically required for consumer safety and traceability. In terms of the Consumer Protection Act and general food labelling standards, this information is important for transparency and accountability. The absence of this information makes it difficult to verify the product’s origin and raises concerns about quality control. The lack of response, combined with insufficient packaging information, creates the impression that customer concerns are not being taken seriously. I would appreciate acknowledgement of this issue and a clear response from Premier. It is also concerning that many complaints on this platform involve similar findings of insects—such as moths or worms—in flour or related products. While I cannot comment on those cases directly, it does raise concerns about possible issues in storage, handling, or quality control. If these concerns are not addressed, I will consider escalating the matter to the National Consumer Commission, as well as the relevant health authorities, for guidance and possible further investigation.

I feel that this review must also get to the maler of Iwisa Maize meal..I'm extremely disgusted after opening the maize meal I bought from Shoprite Springs that is full of worms and bugs. The maize meal is not even expired yet,i bought on the 14th April 2026.I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

I bought a product of Premier Foods FMCG on 25 February. There was an issue with the product and I emailed the customer service. Unless I chase them, they never email me with any form of update or try change the product. They just fob me off, over and over. I will make sure I never buy their products again. All I wanted was an update on what happening, I have told them never to contact me again. Good riddance to bad *******. Shocking Customer Service. They clearly dont have any respect for their customers!

Warning: Bought a 1kg Iwisa maize meal at Boxer Moteti and found insects inside 😊. Reported to Premier Foods 3 days ago, but radio silence. Not impressed with quality control and customer service. Wouldn't recommend until they sort this out. CAS-2026-X6H5G8

I purchased a 2.5kg iwisa no.1 super maize meal from super spar. I bought it from Kenworth super spar Bloemfontein on the 13th of December. I opened it on Christmas morning to make breakfast porridge and I was shocked to find worms in it. This has never happened before.

I sent two emails with photos, complaining about weavings and worms in a fresh pack of Iwisa maize meal purchased locally. I never received any response.
