I was suppose to start the ISO 9001:2015 ‘ Understanding and Implementation of Quality Management Systems’course at SABS on the 28 January 2019. I was communicating with one of the Training consultant at the Pretoria office constantly and he had promised me that he will send me notification on course commencement or postponement 5 days prior to the scheduled commencement date, I never received that notification. On the 25th January 2019 I called the training academy and I was told that the course has been reschuduled to the 4th February 2019. Still there was no communication from the SABS, I then called in again on the 1st February 2019 to confirm if course will commence the following week but I was told that the course has been postponed and a new date be provided. At this point I was tired of the lack of communication for the SABS tranining academy so I opted for a refund. I was sent a refund and I filled in, sent it back to the training consultant who said hw will forward it to Finance. Made a call on the o19 February 2019 to follow up on the matter and the refund has not reached Finance, called again today 26 Febraury 2019 and I spoke to the training consulted(Junior) who told me that the form was send to finace but he could not tell me who should I follow up with at Finance Department. I very much disaappointed by this institution.

Lodged a claim for a leaking pipe and resulting damages. Service providers for resulting damages (ceiling and floor) have been, but still cannot get a plumber to fix the cause of the problem. Impossible to get hold of anyone at STB call centre. 3 x on hold for 17 minutes after eventually giving up. Asked for multiple call backs, no response. This is absolutely ridiculous. How am I meant to resolve an urgent issue when it's impossible to get hold of anyone??

As a watchdog for SA i would like to bring this to your attention which should have be the oposite. The soft drinks tastes the same as zeros or diet drinks. There is no sugar and the price has not changed because they are saving on the sugar. There is no need to have the so called original, zero and diet. They all taste the same. Another thing is most of the products the size has gone smaller but the price remains, how? Nestle Bar One from 100g to 90g not only this but all the chocolates. Even the soft drinks. Why are we not informed about such since we are the consumers Mr Watchdog

If you can not trust the company that governs the standards, then the standards itself and the SABS approved stamp that goes with it, blows out the window. SABS is not a standard of anything to be proud of. Bought foam at Pretoria Foam centre when I refurbished my couches. Hano (the upholstery guy) said that it has a 10 year SABS stamp of approval (guarantee). Even gave me an invoice. After just 2 weeks I noticed that I started sagging, but neither Pretoria Foam Centre, nor Hano wants to take responsibility. I called the SABS fraud line on 0800 007 112 and opened my case. Now more that 13 weeks later I have no reply on feedback from them, even though I have repeatedly called back on the fraud line stating my case number.
