DEFY AND MAKRO CENTURION … your after sales service is shocking, non existent… a repair reported to Makro Centurion on 10 December, early afternoon to date is still not sorted. Between Makro and Defy, each one blaming the other for delays , I have called, emailed, been told I will receive a call back to let me know the outcome … nobody bothers to call me back … I receive “apologies for the delay”emails from Makro Centurion … Defy escalate every query on the spare part since reporting it… nothing is done, the technician is just as useless . Oh my goodness .. I will never buy another Defy product nor will I buy from Makro again!

Took out Life cover, went through all the steps, took the questionnaire and answered all questions honestly. I then need a lifesaving operation for a dreaded disease that was part of the scope of cover. Approached the broker who sold me the policy, he sent me forms and advised to go for the operation. Post operation he asked for the post operation report. Time went by, I was waiting for the payout. The broker stopped taking my calls, he then vetted my calls. I then found out DISCOVERY was not going to pay. I begged for answers. Apparently, the doctor gave a report, he would not let me see the report. When I finally read the report in was not factual. In front of a witness i confronted the doctor who admitted the report was incorrect and that he would correct it. He never did. The report said that he the specialist doctor had treated me in around 1970'S or so and that I had some sort of heart disease back then. He Put this nonsense in the report; I ASKED HIM TO SUPPLY THE PROOF AND SUPPLY THE REPORTS. Infront of a witness he said he could not and again said he would change the report. Well, he did not, he refused. Perhaps he was embarrassed. I conveyed this to DISCOVERY who chose to side with the doctor and not payout. I sent letters and proof to back up my claim yet they simply would not budge. I ONLY DECIDED TO GO FOR THE OPERATION AS I WAS COVERED, WHEN THE PAYOUT NEVER CAME I WAS FINANCIALLY BROKEN AS I HAD NO MONEY TO GET BY. DISCOVERY DID NOT CARE IN THE LEAST, THEY WERE HEARTLESS ABOUT IT AND VEEY MATTER OF FACT ABOUT IT. I firmly believe the broker also had a hand in it. Who know perhaps the specialist doctor and the broker get kickbacks for claims that DISCOVERY can get out of. I have never lost faith in humanity as much as I have now with the way companies and doctors are willing to fabricate lies and see a person suffer.
Vodacom Fiber what can I say other than a bunch of *********** useless individuals. From the help desk to the technical to the accounts, useless useless useless standard phrase, I’m sorry. They cut me off for no reason, my account is on a debit order that I supposedly did not pay? I won’t bore you with their pathetic excuses other than they can stick their useless service. You bunch of clowns will never see my business again?
They delayed me bringing in my car as there was a service part on order. Took it in on the booked date, car not done as the spare not there. Over R1500 in Uber fees. Spoke to the dealer principle and service manager, they did not care except for feeble excuses and backtracking. Customer means nothing. Service adviser useless. Tried to buy a Prado, told not to bother as the eating list to long, tried to buy a GR Bakkie, salesman tried to sell me another model in the floor. Walked out frustrated.
When my daughter was Called one of us as parents was asked to leave? When I walked past others I pointed out that there were many couples with kids, I was barked at “ she is 5” looking around I also witnessed other older kids with both parents. I lodged my concerns, the Matron came to see me and explained that in the adult ward only one parent permitted. My daughter is not an adult. I explained I did not accept the way I was spoken to? It ment nothing except a feeble apology and an enforcement of the rules. I explained I took time off work to support my daughter and the concerns I had which fell on deaf ears in a non empathetic approach….. another enforcement of the rules and a hard stance despite my valid reasons. The matron gave me a solution that was? well you can come in one at a time. I dismissed her as I was not prepared to have her anywhere near me with the cold heartless attitude she delivered. I informed her that she listens to speak and not to hear? In the whole process it took unpleasantness to bring about discussion, I asked her why the attitude and the rough handling of us instead of open dialogue and listening to us. In the end there was yet another closed response that really irritated me to the point of not wanting to have anything to do with her or the situation. South Africa is sadly a cold place?
Went onto their website, operating hours states 9am to 6pm. Drove a long way to get their only to be met by arrogant security guards gesturing that the place is closed while lounging in their chairs to lazy to get up? Certainly will not see my business, we rushed there to specifically see a car they advertised?
I tried to get hold of Wesbank on all their numbers without success? I tried to get payment holiday which they made so difficult it was just not worth it? I settled my vehicle and sent them a mail. It took them weeks to reply with ridiculous requests like sent proof of payment etc. Basic accounting dictated that you marry money into your account against a reference number? I tried to reply to their requests without any joy to date. these clowns continue to take the full amount off my account despite all my emails etc? I will never use this pathetic finance house again for anything???
I am yet to be taken for a ride like I was from this company? They are dishonest rude and will gladly accept your parts then deny any knowledge of receiving them. They will loose your parts then go to great lengths to deny that they where ever on the car. They will make up facts that do not exist especially from the past then not entertain your version of events. Johan will endeavour to intimidate you fabricate what his version on the deal is without fact. Should you try defend yourself he will make it clear that he is not scared of you which has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Should he harp on the past and you as the customer do the same he will simply shrug it off and bulldoze his version of events through? I dropped off a very rare 58 ALFA SPIDER VELOCE to be painted, the car was a great example of an original car not without its problems. It had previous front left damage that was not repaired as well as it should. It had flared wheel arches that needed to go back to original. Nothing was to much trouble for them, they repaired the previous accident damage then proceeded to repair the flared wheel arches. The car looked good sprayed red, I took it away to have the engine and gearbox fitted. In that process the car had some workshop damage that was no fault of the panelbeater, it did however have sone bubbling of the paint that they agreed to repair. I took the car back to Eljoney, nearly a year later they finally sprayed the car, it was delivered and to say the least i was beyond shocked at what I saw? I had employed a craftsman to assemble the car over the December holidays, he refused as the car was not up to a standard that would do the car justice? 1 They never took the door handles off. 2 the windscreen was not removed? 3 Bonnet hinges where not removed? 4 Boot lid hinges where not removed? 5 Paint in the door sills and the rest of the car differed in colour? 6 Paint in the boot and engine compartment differed in colour? 7 Fine cracks in the paint on the nose section of the car? 8 Fine cracks in the paint on the fender sections front and back? 9 Cracks in the paint on the lover valence section? 10 Wheel arches packed with filler or some sort of fiber(not sure) on the inner fender arches 11 Overspray everywhere. 12 Paint on the windscreen rubbers etc. 13 Door handle rubbers missing? 14 Spares missing as supplied? The list goes on? I called Johan and voiced my dissatisfaction, he had immediately a closed attitude and blocked me on Whats APP and stopped taking my calls. I threatened HELLO PETER and suddenly my cell rang. I told him of my finding to which he replied that he warned me of paint stripping a car? I agreed with him that it is a problem and that I did not want any form of the job for free. I pointed out that the car came out of the spray booth worse than it went in? I pointed out that the nose of the cars shape had been altered and according to pictures of when it was dropped off it is now different and modified? He brought up the damage to the front left that has nothing to do with the altered nose of the car? He brought up the past, when I defended the past dealings I was shut off in an aggressive argumentative manner? As a solution Johan agreed to spray the car again at his cost? I said that the nose panel needed to be repaired? He flatly refused to fix the nose? I was told to talk to Tony who would fix the nose?(Tony originally worked on the car and was responsible for a lot of the shoddy work) Tony quoted me R20 000-00 estimate and could start in a months time. When I queried the cost with Johan he told me to take it or leave it, I queried the month delay to which he replied it will be longer as Tony needed to finish his personal classic bakkie first? I expressed the my disappointment at the cost and delay and again I was told to that is the way it is? I went away feeling violated both personally and financially. I felt totally cheated with still no solution? I decided to investigate the cracks on the paint, I was shocked to find pollyfiller up to an inch thick in places? Under the thick pollyfiller I found the original nose? The pollyfiller fell off in places as it was applied over rust spots? The so called accident damage on the left front was not repaired properly with the bumper bracket held on by a thread? When the filler was removed I found perforated holes on the fender where they just plugged it with filler. The nose section had holes in it plugged with filler? The lower valance was a patch work quilt that was covered up in layers of filler? The wheel arches had so much filler in them there was no fold over at the rear. The filler on the wheel arches was an inch or so thick? Part of the car was a rare data plate entrusted in the care of Johan, well it is lost? Johan has made no attempt at finding it or trying to replace it? Before posting this review I sent Johan a Whats APP asking if he is interested in seeing the pictures of the shoddy workmanship and if he is keen to sit around the table and discuss the matter. No reply at all and again he blocked me on Whats APP. I paid R70000 for an honest job on my rare car, I have lost all that money parts and rare bits? Johan has treated me not as a customer but rather as a person who brought this all on myself. He offered a mediocre solution that will cost me money then made it difficult to get the solution into effect? He blocked my calls messages etc. I did not see this coming?
