I had 54 missed calls today from Discovery Bank. What's the point of lodging a formal complaint if they don't even follow their own terms? I feel sorry for any person who wants to sign up for this bank. I asked strictly for email communication and app notifications... They can't even follow their own protocols.
THEY WILL NOT STOP F****** CALLING YOU EVERY DAY. In the last few days, I already had over 100 calls again, and this is after I lodged a formal complaint. Can you guys please fudging stop this!!!
After I made a complaint against Discovery and they said they would stop calling me and instead send me emails, they continued to harass me with calls. Yesterday alone, I received 65 calls. I am now putting this in writing to the NCR and Ombudsman. Will use the call log as evidence. This company has no respect for customers.
As much as I love Discovery Bank, it doesn't change the fact that they harass you with calls. A quick explanation. I phoned them to let them know that I haven't been paid a salary in 2 months so I won't be able to currently pay them back on what I owe them in terms of credit. I asked if they can perhaps pause or stop any debits on the credit account until I can pay them, basically like a debit holiday. They said no, they can't do that. Now they keep phoning me like 8 times a day and most of the times it's during very inappropriate times. Phoning me every single f****** day is not going to change my financial situation. The worst part is, they have notes on the system about my situation, but they continue to call me and ask me for money. This is harassment on another level. I will continue blocking your calls now, reporting it to Truecaller for being spam, and I will take legal steps, especially within the POPIA, if this harassment continues. I WILL PAY WHEN I GET A SALARY AGAIN!!! Again, I love Discovery Bank, and I would love to continue using this bank, but right now, I am in a situation that is out of my control, and harassing me is really putting this bank in a bad spot for me.
They are the worst company to rent from. We have been renting for 10+ years. Never missed one payment. We are currently going through a financial crisis at the company that we work for which is out of our hands. We did let them know that payment might be late, we never said that we won't pay. Just give us some time. They are demanding and very inhumane. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this company. PS: When we had a pet, they told us to get rid of it as per their terms. Really inhumane and heartless. At this rate, if this is how they treat loyal customers, then I won't ever recommend them to anyone.
Did an f****** "IMMEDIATE PAYMENT" from my Capitec account to my FNB account and it's been 2 days now and it's still not reflecting. This immediate payment is just a **** where you pay for a faster deposit but it does nothing! Useless bank.
Every time I try to log into my account, I found that my account has been locked and I can't unlock it. This means I need to contact support which in most cases, takes forever. This is starting to become really annoying. If you guys don't want me as a customer, then say so, because I can easily go find another service provider.
I paid 2 of 4 payments on time and by the 3rd payment, I couldn't pay it, because I was waiting for my salary. The payment failed 3 times, then I got charged R75 extra as a fee for missing the 3rd payment, and as soon as I got my salary, the amount that I had to pay, was paid with the extra R75. This is a **** service. This will be the first and last time for me to use this service. R75 is a steal. I would understand something like a R10 fee every time I missed the payment, but R75? **** off.

I am still waiting for Capitec to solve my payment issues with Facebook Ads. It's been a week now and still no update. It took them a couple of days to call me, and tell me the issue has been sent to the relevant department, for the 2nd time now, and still nothing. I am considering seeking legal advice and will take legal action. This is damaging my business now. Pathetic service.
