Had to give a star… but so far doesn’t even deserve one… we ordered on the 7th of April, today is the 14th… a week later… (The company is in Cape Town- should take 2 days to ship.) …my daughter’s party is on Friday the 17th… we don’t need this light we ordered after that. My husband has phoned and apparently no one has received or seen his email before that. They said they will sort it out, ship it out by Tuesday(today) 2 days later- still no email to say the lights have been shipped…. Horrible communication and we are super worried we won’t get this in time… then came and saw all the bad reviews. Going to the bank tomorrow to reverse this payment. PLEASE PlEASE PLEASE don’t get caught like all of us. Make sure you read the reviews. Shame on you. Future Light!!!!!! Letting people down like this.
I placed an order on the 21st of May. This after I read all the bad reviews, I still decided to risk it. The very next day I receive an email advising me (and I quote) “order was splitted.” This immediately set off alarm bells, but I stayed calm and waited patiently. On the 28th I followed up and I was told that my order was booked on Thursday. So I waited a couple of days. And then followed up again, today, 4th of June to find out where my delivery is. Only to be told that it was delivered to the wrong address and that they will have to repick the whole order and will alert me on my new delivery. I’m really annoyed by the service and their communication. And I’m just praying I get my order in the next few days.
I placed an order of 20 items just after 3pm. It showed estimated time of delivery just before 6pm. So we patiently wait. Just before 6, i get a notification that my payment was reversed. I then check my Checkers order, and that has been cancelled too. (And suddenly all of the product I wanted, shows: “out of stock.”) Now the store is closed and we are unable to get wine anywhere. (Because on a Sunday ALL bottle stores close at 6pm) Checkers has let us down so badly. I do all of my shopping at checkers and on this App. But i will never again and I will let everyone I know what happened to me.
You guys don’t even deserve one star! What you have done to me is horrible. I have been without a car for 5weeks! Ford Umhlanga has pushed me over the edge now. I told them on Friday that I’m leaving for holiday on Monday. And a week later my car is still not ready. No on has answers, only excuses. And they act like i’m crazy for freaking out. I have had to ask for lifts to work for 5weeks now. And now i’m possibly going to have to go holiday without a car. How is this even acceptable? I will tell the world never to buy a Ford!!!
I have had Kaelo Xelus Gap cover since 2011 and in the last 4 years I have been let down by them one too many times. When I changed companies in 2017, I moved my Gap cover from by old company's account into my private capacity. I did this in February that year.) Only to realize in July that my installments have not been going off. So I contacted them and they said that my account changes were not loaded on their side and that I basically didn't have Gap cover anymore. I was then told that I could either pay a penalty fee or have a 6 month waiting period. (So should anything have happened within that period, I would not have been able to claim.) This period is actually for new clients to ensure that they don't have any preexisting conditions and to build up some funds. I have been with them for many years however and if they just checked their information they would've seen this. I was very unhappy about this, but decided to stay. (Luckily nothing happened during that period.) Then my husband had to go to the emergency rooms at the hospital last year and Kaelo said that unless he was actually hospitalized they do not cover any shortfalls. So we ended up having to pay over R2000. My last incident happened this week. I was referred to a surgeon who sent me for me for a CT scan and an Ultrasound. I called Kaelo prior to these to make sure I will be covered. But now they are picking and choosing off of the statement what they feel like covering. Not the actual shortfall that I had to pay as per my medical aid statement. So I now have to pay over R4000 to the hospital, because my Gap won't. You are better off just taking that money that you pay every month towards Kaelo Gap cover and paying it into a savings account. Because these guys don't pay actual shortfalls. Their motto should be: "We fall short of paying shortfalls." I am very unhappy and will be looking for other Gap Cover. DO NOT take out cover with this company as they will let you down.
