Active since Nov 2012
I have been holding for a manger for 20 minutes, and will now give up. I held close to that amount of time earlier today to get a simple confirmation message on email that my comprehensive insurance is in fact active after I sent (for the 3rd time) images of my vehicle. I still dont know. I received the same regurgitated message that still offers no clarity. But this does not come close to the hours spent on the phone before then. Their systems are ARCHAIC. their emails are sent in short script, not including the assurance you need for your insurance. I suspect that Santam has enough business to NOT have to worry about new clients who are willing to pay double the monthly premium compared to other insurance, because they are the best? at what? WHY is it sooooo difficult just to get them to 1) take a call. 2) put you through to someone who can confirm, 3) confirm properly in writing?. I am ashamed to say this is my second attempt at getting Santam insurance. If it is this difficult just to GET the insurance policy, I dread having to imagine what it would be like when God-Forbid I ever have to claim. 30 Mns still on hold. If you do decide to call on the back of this review, let it be the cancellation department. not even out of the blocks and already sorely disappointed.
Televisions, even the expensive ones, will only last as long as the tiny perishable plastic remote, which resembles a disposable item. Of course the remote does not last more than 1 year, no matter how carefully you look after it. The trouble though, is that SAMSUNG SA does not really care. Their service consists of taking down your personal details (why no one know, I can only imagine what they do with it), and then creating a "profile" for you, and then sending you to other audiovisual retailers to go and look for a remote that may or may not be compatible. Good luck... oh.. and making it your fault when you get annoyed at their poor service. that would be R 7 000 in school fees, so if nothing else, we learn what NOT to buy next time. Think carefully.
I bought a VERY expensive DYSON vacuum cleaner from Tafelberg Furnishers less than a year ago. Thinking we will have a lot of load shedding. Used it very few times. when Opening it the entire seal pops out of the canister, and there are little plastic splinters. I took it back. 3 weeks I waited on the Mighty Dyson to look at it.... and then a rude call from Tafelberg saying I need to replace at my cost. A guarantee is not a guarantee and somewhere far far away is a secret booklet that would have (i can't recall ever seeing) come with this vacuum, a little disclaimer exists which states that these crucial parts that make up the actual vacuum, are in fact NOT guaranteed in any way. so there you have it. the vacuum motor is ok-ish, the other parts are cheap perishable plastics... (even in a cupboard) and is not under any form of guarantee. I have to quickly tell all my friends I advised to buy a Dyson that this how it ends...
There is unfortunately no zero stars. Vodacom is quick to sell you a contract with wifi router. What they fail to tell you is that the Router will SELDOM work. So you have unlimited WiFi, but it is limited by the ******* product and the even more pathetic service from Vodacom, who cannot find anyone in the entire establishment accountable for customer service. Its a constant to and fro and a clear suckerpunch. HOWEVER, Vodacom will continue to collect from your account whether you managed to get 10Kb of Wifi out of your unlimited amount or not. And complaining will just see you go from pillar to post and then have some rude "retention consultant" slam the phone down on you. I am sick to DEATH of VODA CON. If you are looking for a wifi service prodiver, I can guarantee you, you WILL have trouble if you chose Vodacon
I have asked more times than I can count on my hands and feet for you to remove a useless and unserviced pole from my property, which is a nuisance, a danger and impeding. I cannot repair my roofsheeting which and I asked you to remove the pole before the winter rains. Now rain is pouring through the hole around the useless pole onto my property from the roof over the cover of my parking and Openserve continues to conveniently ignore me. I cannot use my property fully nor can I build or renovate or even fix the roofsheeting. how ***ardly... let everyone else just be shortchanged now that the pole is not useful to you anymore. used and spat out.. You see, Openserve does not have access to my property and cant use the pole for its fibre. with no benefit to you, it doesn't matter if someone else gets the short end of the stick. It is either ***ardice, greed, absolute incompetence or just spinelessness that makes you ignore my numerous pleas to remove it. I think its greed....
There is no black star unfortunately. This review is to help anyone out there who is considering buying a property (which is a long term investment... don't lose sight of that) from Rabie Property Group.. I can honestly say that I deeply deeply regret buying a property from Rabie Property Group. I also deeply regret having dealt with Seeff who facilitated the purchase. I have a myriad of reasons. personally, they dismiss any grievances. The levies doubled from contract to handover, their legal team was quick to respond stating that the contract levies is as an "Estimate" so I suggest that potential buyers keep in mind that an estimate is not reasonable as per the consumer protection act. now I guess I could litigate, but in the end, the price of anything in this world is the amount of life and peace you are willing to exchange for it. Leaking pipes for example, will require you to get your own plumber.. (for a new property!) it is not their obligation to ensure that what they put in the property actually works correctly. I wish I read the reviews on social media and open sources prior to the purchase. In my personal capacity, If anyone asked my opinion, then based on my personal experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from buying a property from them. I hope this saves someone form making a decision they may regret.
