My father passed away in Dec 2024. We handed in the paperwork in Jan 2025 to notify them. It is now March 2026 and the account is still active and the amount just keeps going up. They just say somebody has to pay. All queries just get ignored or just pay the account and we will close it. Their area managing blatantly insulted my mom when she spoke to her. How pathetic can you get?!
Duan de waal from midstream we buy cars gave me great service. First time he called I was busy. He called back on time agreed. He also came in on his day off to meet me.
This past weekend I took my dog to the Irene market at Big red barn. While there, I cut my hand. I was fine with just putting a napkin on it to stop the blood. We went to the restaurant after. Admire (Manager) came to me with gloves etc on. He cleaned my hand with disinfectant and put a bandage on.
I requested a fibre connection from Axxess a couple of months ago on the Wednesday. On the Friday I received a notice for installation and on the Saturday, the guy was here and finished the installation in less than 30mins.
So . . . MTN continues to steal my money. After months of trying, I finally spoke to the call centre on July 14th and cancelled my contract. End of July it went off again (thought it's the "cool-down). End of August it went off again. I called on Sept 2nd and was told it was an error and that I would be refunded(Like that happened). Later in Sept I received an Invoice for end of Sept. I was told to ignore. Now end of Sept it went of again!
So . . . I finally got a hold of them on July 14th and cancelled my contract . . . Or so I thought I paid end of July (probably grace period), then again end of August 2020. I called to enquire, The guy at retentions said that it's a fault on their side and that I would be refunded in 24hours. That never happened. I received another invoice this morning to be paid at the end of Sept 2020. When I called in, they said that it had only been converted to a prepaid on Sept 2. What happened to my cancellation?! And Why am I getting billed?! Then the lady puts me on hold, to check something, and never comes back. After almost 15mins I hang up and called again. With that one, the lady cut me off. I've been trying to get through for over 2 hours. Get a message about "high call volumes". With bad service like this, that's no wonder.
The people from MTN said that they would contact me to assist me in cancelling my contract . . . That never happened (any of the times they said they would) So I kept calling and finally spoke to somebody in July to cancel Now I see that they are still deducting the money even though I can't use they sim anymore. Are they really that desperate?! Or just pathetic at service?

Morne hit another car last year with his vehicle and now refuses to pay for damages. If he wont even do that, how can he be trusted to be honest in business
I've been trying to get a hold of MTN for almost 2 weeks now to cancel my data contract as I don't need it anymore. Seems like stalling to get another month or they hoping that I forget an keep the contract
