I had a canvas roof made for my new house by Practicality Custom outdoor Gear. I had to install it myself. When I opened the canvas it was totally out of shape. Practicality fixed it. Once again it did not fit as it should. They came to my place and made some adjustments. I pointed out some poor workmanship to Mr. Fourie, he dit not react to it. We installed the roof and a short while later the wind ripped open the seams. I took it back and Practicality made some changes. I installed it again and once again sent photos of poor workmanship to Mr Fourie. A short while later the wind ripped open the seams again. Mr Fourie does not answer his phone or react to whatsapps or emails. I have of photos to prove poor workmanship. I request Practicallity to refund me in total. I had a lot of damage due Practicallity’s poor workmanship.

The quotation was based on suggestions made by the supplier after I explained to him what I wanted to be done as he said that they are experts in this field of work. Delivery time was promised plus minus one week.
I accepted the quote as I had a trip planned and paid for to Namibia 18 March and I also informed the supplier about my trip and the dates

25 January 2016 I delivered my camp trailer at his premises located at 986 Bloedhond Street Garsfontein
26 January 2016 I paid him the deposit of R8369.72 which was half the invoice amount.

4 March 2016 (6 weeks later) I received a mail saying the work is done and everything is 100%
7 March 2016 I wanted to pitch the tent to see if all is ok and I am happy so that I can make the final payment of R8369.72 . By doing this I immediately noticed that they never even pitched the tent to check their work as I could not get the poles they supplied me through the holes of the awnings. I had no time to waste and had to make new pins on the end of the poles on my expense.

The awnings they made also didn`t work out the way it was planned and the ropes where to short.
The aluminium poles they supplied me is also of bad quality and been rough grinded for the one to fit into the other as it is sliding poles. He then replied with a lot of suggestions to solve my problems.
I suggested some extra work to be done that would help for the awnings to pitch right and also because the awnings didn`t protect my sleep area enough from the sun and that was defeating the object.

5 April 2016 the supplier fetched my trailer as he agreed to fix all the faulty work.

27 April 2016 I made the payment of the balance which was R8369.72

5 May 2016 the supplier send my another invoice of R2454.78 for the extra work that I suggested and they again said everything is now 100 % and I can fetch my trailer.
I paid the invoice and fetched my trailer.

6 May 2016 I went camping again to see If all is sorted.

Yet again the work they done which they charged me extra for is not right.
I tried to phone the supplier while I was at my camping spot and he ignored me. I send him photos of the work they did wrong and they still ignored me.

Up and till today I try to contact him at least 4 times a week but he just don`t answer my calls or what’s up massages. I left massages at his office but still no response.

I really had enough of this and I want them to take their awnings back as it is all zip on and repay me the amount of R19194.22 and also pay the expenses of R1800 I had to pay for fixing their faults.
