Stay away from ordering online

First Ascent makes worldclass clothing products, but their online order setup is totally useless. Last week I tried on a number of occasions to order an item online, first using my Ipad and then my PC. On the Ipad I got to the page where I had to fill in my address details, but could not get to the payment page at all; nothing happened when I touched the Payment tab. On my PC I managed to do a payment, got an approval message from my bank but then got a pop up on the First Ascent site stating that an error occurred in that the payment instruction to the bank had been wrongly formatted (whatever that may mean). The pop up invited me to try again, which I did four times in a row, without luck; got the same pop up each time. I then tried to send a message from the Contact Us page, but on submitting my message I got an error ID message (unsure what this meant). In the end I just gave up. (Luckily no money was debited from my bank account.)

Amazon South Africa

Stay away, if you can shop elsewhere

Very seldom are the items advertised on Google SA by Amazon SA in stock - all you'll find is: "Currently unavailable, don't know when available again". Also, Amazon SA often uses probably the worst courier service in SA, namely DPD Laser. My advice: shop elsewhere if you want a troublefree online shopping experience.

Terrible admin

I requested Vetus Schola Boland in vain on multiple occasions, both telephonically and in writing, to change my email address on record. No luck - all requests ignored. I've now given up and decided not to pay any account sent to my old address. Fortunately I never signed any debit order with them.

Internet Express

Excellent service

Online order was shipped with Internet Express by seller in Jhb on Tuesday, and was delivered to my house in Somerset West on Thursday morning. Internet Express kept me informed by email when the order was collected, when it was in transit and the expected delivery date. I was also informed when the order went out for delivery. As it turned out, delivery was effected a day earlier than I expected.

Terrible online experience

Absolutely unreliable online orders. Will never do business with Makro again.
