If I could give 0 stars I would... I am not the type of person to come to a platform like this and write nasty reviews, but with the service I received on my last Amazon order from DPD laser is absolutely shocking! I checked the reviews first for this company on Hello Peter and it explains A LOT... How can a company still function if 93,8% of their reviews on here is a 1 star rating? I am now also adding to that percentile so even worse for them.. I placed an order on Monday 5 May 2026, scheduled for delivery on Tuesday 6 May 2026. I was happy with this as I felt confident that I would receive my order. I ordered the past few weeks and I had no issues with my deliveries (multiple items in 1 order), this includes deliveries that was done by DPD laser.. I thought well no issue here because no issues so far and boy was I wrong... Tuesday the 5th I receive an SMS at 08h27 that my Amazon package is out for delivery with driver name and reg number noted (not disclosing driver information here). Same day at 12h52 I get a message: DPD Laser: We need more information to deliver your Amazon package, along with a link to contact them. All my information is there and 100% correct so why do I need to call them? They can call me? Besides, my previous orders were perfect so what is the issue and why must I call to find out? I send them an email on the same day at 12h55 asking them what they need from me and the response I get at 16h00 that afternoon is that my delivery failed due to the wrong address. I was completely baffled... how is my address incorrect if the same company delivered a package to my house on the 30th of April with no changes made to anything on my Amazon profile from the 30th to date. I even double checked and my address is 100% correct on the invoice and on my Amazon profile. I responded to the agent that same afternoon at 17h14 and advised her that the wrong address issue must be from the driver's side as my address is still the same on Amazon and I have received previous orders without any issues. I also told her that I am happy with the delivery either being Wednesday the 06th of May or today, the 07th of May. I informed the agent that I urgently need this package as I am not available this Friday and need the package before then as it is a gift for the coming weekend.. It then went dead silent.. I could not look at my phone yesterday (Wednesday the 6th) due to work commitments but I saw at around 15h30 that no response was received for the full day - I then follow up at 15h37 and ask for an urgent response. I send another email at 18h12 and I advised them that I am utterly disappointed as this is NOT a mistake from my side, my address was and still is correct when the order was placed and I want them to send me proof that it was wrong. The response I get this morning? (Thursday, the 8th of May) "Apologies for the delay in response. Address noted and provided to the service branch to action accordingly for delivery on the next business day"... WHAT?... did I not advise that I am not available Friday? My response followed: "Next business day is tomorrow? I advised that I am not available tomorrow and would now have to make alternative arrangements which is such an inconvenience... This is a gift that I need to give on Saturday. I ordered on Monday for next day delivery to ensure that I have it on time and now I am struggling... We are halfway through the working day and I have received no update on the delivery and it still notes Delivery On Hold. When can I expect this to be updated? This cannot be handled as a normal delivery and needs to be highlighted as a priority." We did not want to risk waiting long for the reply so my partner called the call centre.. 15th in line.. which also says a lot. When he got to the front of the line they hung up. He called again and spoke to the agent and made everything very clear to him.. he had the audacity of saying it is due to the incorrect address... My partner ONCE AGAIN highlighted that the address is correct, ONCE AGAIN highlighted the urgency of the delivery and ONCE AGAIN told the agent that I AM NOT AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY. How many times must this be repeated? Agent then escalated the matter and then ensured my partner that I will get the package today. I had the courtesy of emailing the other agent, advising her that we spoke to another agent and it's been escalated and I wanted to throw up when I saw the "Thank you for the below" response that I got less than an hour after I advise.. that's it.. "Thank you for the below".. The call centre chat with the agent was around 13h00 this afternoon.. I had hope, but not much to be honest.. Alas, no delivery (wow what a surprise!) My partner asked me regularly if there is an update and the response was the same each time... nope... Eventually at 15h47 they update the tracking: "Your delivery has been scheduled FOR MAY 8 2026 AT 06h30 PM" Are you absolutely kidding me, do these agents not listen to their clients? Do they just say the things you want to hear so that you can get off their back? It certainly seems so. Both of us told them we are not available Friday and now they want to deliver Friday evening!!! I check again a few minutes ago on the parcel tracking and it notes (copy and paste): "07 May 2026 @ 17h09 - We couldn't complete your delivery. Please free to contact us on 010 600 2323 or email [email protected] JOHANNESBURG ZA" Please free? Can't even write proper sentences on their tracking. "07 May 2026 @ 17h22 - We have taken receipt of your parcel at our depot JOHANNESBURG ZA". So, you first want to deliver the evening that I am not available, then tell me that the delivery could not be completed and then again 13 minutes later that my parcel is at the depot... so help me Lord... I am utterly disappointed in the disgusting service I have received from this courier company, never had an issue before but this one case with its ups and downs sent it over the edge for me... Now tell me DPD laser, how are you going to fix this... how are you going to get my order to me in time? I guess it won't happen right? I wish Amazon could give an option to select the preferred courier because I never want to use this company EVER again, but I am forced to do so.. I also want to mention that I did a bit of digging as well after I saw the Hello Peter reviews and my goodness.. the comments on their Social Media platforms does not look much better. Horrible service for ONE item that was scheduled and confirmed for next day delivery... Thank you DPD Laser... for absolutely nothing :)
Dear George's Grill House Bedford Centre, Thank you for always making us feel special and especially this Valentine's Day. This is our favourite restaurant and could not think of a more perfect place to go for the day of love. Our starters, mains and desserts were absolutely delicious and we paired our food with a beautiful bottle of white wine. The service was incredible from being directed to our table to the table service. Thank you to Lee who is one of the best waiters I have ever encountered. The ambience was so beautiful, and a lot of effort was done to make sure each couple feels loved on the day of love. We also received a complimentary glass of Brut after our meals, thank you so much. George's treat you like kings and queens and we always choose to go there when we have the opportunity. Can't wait to visit again!
I requested a Call Back from King Price and received a call within minutes. My policy is up for renewal and there was a premium increase. I asked if they could review my policy and now my premium is even less than what it was before the renewal. I have been with King Price for 6 years now and it's always a breeze when I need assistance. I would like to give a 5 star rating to TIGER'S MILK APPLETON'S VILLAGE - RANDBURG. We love going there on a Sunday after we finished our climbing session at CityRock Johannesburg. When we went there the first time Branden was our waiter and wow what a fantastic waiter! We also got him the second time and he remembered us even though we have only been there once. He is so friendly, such a happy spirit and you can see he loves what he does. He is quick with service and makes sure that you are always happy from when you are seated till when you leave. Thank you Brandon, we can't wait to visit again!

A Culinary Celebration at Butcher Boys Meyersdal! ππ€ At the end of last year, we gathered at Butcher Boys Meyersdal to celebrate a special birthday, and what an fantastic dining experience it turned out to be! ππ½οΈ For starters, I indulged in my go-to Halloumi Cheese, a dish I order almost everywhere. It was beautifully paired with a Sweet Chilli Sauce. β¨οΈ Another starter that stole the show was the Cheesy Lango Tails β even as a seafood skeptic, I couldn't resist a bite. SautΓ©ed in a creamy garlic sauce and topped with cheddar, it was a delightful surprise! π§π€ When it came to mains, the Saucy Burger stole the spotlight for me. It's not an exaggeration to say it's the best burger I've ever had and will have it again next time. A Plain & Simple burger elevated by your choice of sauce β I went for the flavorful ****** Gland Sauce. ππ΄ Butcher Boys also offers a selection of dry and wet-aged steaks, reasonably priced and absolutely divine. The steak was perfectly prepared to preference, and I can safely say this is the top place for an extraordinary steak. π₯© While we didn't stay for dessert this time, the options looked tempting, and I'm already anticipating the sweet indulgence on our next visit. π° If there's one suggestion for improvement, it would be to expand the variety of beers on tap and ****tails. Currently, there are only two on tap, and a broader selection would add another layer to the dining experience. π»πΉ But overall, Butcher Boys Meyersdal left us impressed with its impeccable service, remarkable dishes, and a warm ambiance perfect for celebrations. It's a culinary haven that promises delightful moments and flavors that linger long after you leave. ππ
I was not happy with my premium after the annual renewal. The consultant assisted me and gave me a better premium that better suit my needs! He was friendly and very helpful. Thank you
