Once a month the Sasolburg Boulevard Shopping Centre holds a Market Day hosted and managed by Monica. She makes the day an awesome experience for all the marketers and homemade goodies on sale. We have been attending the market days and displaying our goods with great success and sales. Thank you for allowing us to market our home fabricated wooden items, decor and gifts as well as homemade pies and sausage rolls. The centre is also the best place to shop, very convenient.
We saw these Food Socks at a local market in the Vaal area, we bought 6 packs and tried it. We are hooked! The meals are so versatile, easy to prepare, delicious and to add more substance, we also add fried onions, garlick, green pepper, jalapenos and mushrooms (when they are affordable). We love the Chicken Pasta, Chicken Briyani, Mac and Cheese to which we add steamed and diced chicken breasts. It is an easy option for busy people too and for us, as retirees, it suits our budget and we have 4 meals lasting us 2 days. The price is also a game changer and best value for money. Our GP also agrees that the lentils and beans are the healthier option too. The other flavours we enjoy are Mutton Stew to which we add the fried onion mix and grilled steak, Vegetable Soup to which we add soft potatoes and chicken, the Bolognaise is also delicious to which we add deboned cooked and diced ribs. We rave about these and want everyone to share in these meals.
Very unhappy with the sudden changes in price on certain items in the Superspar Sasolburg Boulevard. As an example, the Chelsea buns were R15,99 during the beginning of the month, then R18,99 and today it is R24.99, same supplier, same bun!!! We cannot understand how this is possible and this is the case every month - it seems odd. Not happy at all. There are also other product prices which differ drastically over a month period, and those are not because of specials.
We went to the local Postnet in Sasolburg Boulevard and each of the 2 ladies on duty were busy with clients printing items for them. We waited patiently, neither of these 2 even bothered to look up at us or even greet us, we continued waiting and another client came in chatted to a 3rd lady who also works there who also did not greet us or even inquire what we wanted. Eventually after about 10 minutes with no response or a greeting, we left! WORST SERVICE AS THERE WAS NONE!
VERY DISAPPOINTED WOK NOT WHAT THE PICTURE SHOWS . Very disappointed as the Wok we received this morning has 2 small dents in it and we can actually bend it out! The picture when we ordered, shows a thick wok, colour black and the handle is wooden, our wok is totally different. We are upset but will not send it back as it usually takes 2 to 3 months before we receive a replacement. For the price, we have accepted the damaged wok and will not be buying similar items from Makro ever again. We are also upset because when we order from Makro we expect Makro would be responsible for the packaging and delivery but this order was shipped directly from the supplier and that is where the packaging was not done adequately. This wok should have been packed in a box but it arrived wrapped in bubble wrap and taped in brown paper with a sticker indicating that it is FRAGILE, which was obviously ignored!
We order from Econofoods every month and recently they switched over to a different delivery system which unfortunately for us, left us out of the radius for deliveries!! We received an email from them stating we are being missed .... we rep**** rather harshly that it was due to the radius issue that we were no longer ordering from Econofoods, Vanderbijlpark. Not a day later, we receive a call from the Manager, Ruan Rossouw, apologising for the deliver dilemma and assuring us of their best efforts to ensure we receive any delivery in future. Well done we are hugely impressed and will definitely make use of this service again as we love their products and quality of the frozen foods as well.
What an absolute disappointment, driving all the way to the Mica Riverside in Vanderbijlpark for wood. The same cover strips lengths of 6 m now cost the same as 3 m lengths... double the price for less wood ... In June we bought a lot of wood but not only has the prices doubled, so too has the inexperience and the non-attentive attitude of the staff in the section. We were looking at wood and wanted a price, had to go and ask someone, who summarily asked someone else, who said he was busy and that was it, eventually another guy came and he shouted at the guy we originally asked for the price!!! Then wanted a price on stainless steel sheeting, again had to ask one guy who referred us to another who again just ignored us, actually said and pointed to where the sheeting was ..... how rude!! No pride in professionalism or helping a willing customer and we have always supported the Mica, now we are taking our business elsewhere and sadly it will be a loss for Mica Riverside as our small business is expanding and we will never go to the store again. Get your act together because with the staff's no care attitude you are sorely going to loose more customers. Bad service, bad vibes and no return.
Looking for a particular sandal for my husband, walked into the local Shoe City in Sasolburg at the Pick n Pay Centre, we were immediately welcomed by all 3 the staff ladies. One also enquired how she could assist and took my husband to the exact sandals he was looking for, she even suggested he try a size larger in order for him to have a more comfortable fit. She went out of her way to assist, looking for similar sandals and another lady also brought a pair for him to consider. We were treated like royalty unlike the other store from a different franchise whose staff ignored us totally. We will always go to Shoe City and appreciate the efforts, friendliness and professionalism shown by all 3 these lovely helpful ladies. Good job, well done and thank you.
Looking for a pair of sandals for my husband, we decided to visit the Mr Price Sport Store in the Checkers Centre, Sasolburg. Walked in looked around to find where the shoe section would be, saw 3 staff members standing chatting near the check out counter. They saw us, DID NOT GREET OR EVEN COME TOWARDS US TO ENQUIRE IF WE NEEDED SOME HELP. We did not find the sandals and decided to look around more, moving closer toward where they were standing. We were looked at as if we were dirty and did not belong there, still NO ASSISTANCE. Terrible service, horrible staff members and WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND MR PRICE SPORT TO ANYONE EVER.
A pleasant experience visiting the Burger King, Sasolburg Boulevard this morning. We ordered a meal and 2 cups of the soft serve with flake. The previous time, last week, we got half filled cups of ice cream which we did not complain about. This morning my husband received them again half filled and asked Main, the staff member, to have them filled up. We are paying R24.90 for each and expect a full cup of ice cream. Main did as requested and when he received the ice cream, they were still not correct, he sent them back and asked again for them to be filled to the top, which was eventually done. We thank Main for his great service and professionalism. Thank you Main because of you we will be back.
