My car broke down at night, I called them . They assigned a breakdown company very fast . Arrived and drove us to the B&B we booked, which they said they will pay us back. I'm happy I'm insured with a caring company.
Absa doesn't respect their clients. They still didn't pay school fees for my child in a special school. Don't even reply to emails. April now since January communicating with them
After my review on this platform I was so disappointed to learn that they assigned someone over 2 weeks ago to continue with some part of their investigation about the accident, but still was not done. We are still waiting, they can't even give us a clear answer of what's holding them to finish this claim. I guess they are still looking for the opportunity not to pay. They must stop selling lies to the customers. That's the worst insurance I've ever come across.
My partner got car accident on the 2nd of October, informed the insurer. They came and took statement. Till today no way forward, no updates. My partner always the one calling to check the progress. I see most reviews, they act fast depending the colour of your skin. He's now having no transport to work as he's waiting for what we don't know when. I left this insurance also because of the bad service. They assigned panel beaters that didn't do professional work. White paint on black , even inside the car were paint marks. They dont even evaluate the the work done , you are on your own. The parts they took out inside the car , were not put back the same way, they are falling as we speak.
I have a trust fund with absa, which is supposed to pay my children school fees. I've been communicating with them since before schools were opened in January. The lady that is incharge of the trust alway out of the office or in the meeting. Doesn't answer emails. The direct line that we usually communicate on , is no longer in use. Till today 25th March 2025 , my children's school fees are not paid. I've sent all the necessary documents. I've included 2 more people in that office on those emails , still no response. I've been sending follow up emails with no answer. The lady once told me to take my children to government schools, which there are no such schools around where we are staying. 1 of the kids is referred to a special school, now no payment. Every year they would pay late and don't give a notice that they are going to pay quota of the amount needed.they don't even notified you that they have made payment to the school. I would always found out later in a year that I have to pay school fees because the trustfund didn't pay all the amount, which is lack of communication on the bank side. I hope they can learn taking people serious. They really don't value their customers.
I made a claim last month 11 November 2023, my car was damaged by hail storm. Windscreen cracked, the body damaged. When I call them they give me run around. I'm not helped even now. I must be the one always calling them. I had to drive the car with cracked windscreen, don't mind much about body
