I have been using their services for some time now but I have encountered several delivery issues with drivers failing to follow simple instructions as to where they need to leave my order. My order has been delivered and left at the gate according to the drivers on a few occasions and were ****** while I specifically asked for my order to be left inside my yard. I have reported that issue several times and it was handled accordingly. Today however, I got endless calls from the customer services but the matter wasn’t resolved, they kept contradicting each other with the driver and I didn’t get paid back the money I lost with the order I didn’t receive. According to the driver he left it outside (he even sent me a picture to prove) while the office one of the consultants said he left it inside my yard as instructed. This level of incompetence is astounding.
I received an sms from Capitec notifying me that my account will be paused unless I submit documentation to an email or go to a branch. I went to the Hazeldean branch and Jena said it’s updated, on the 12th December they paused my account and I immediately went to the same branch and spoke to the same person, I submitted my documentation and on the 17th I called the customer care line and I spoke to Lithemba and she said my documentation was never received and the email address I sent to (to one I was given by the agent Jena) isn’t in their system and I emailed my documentation again to the customer care email and they responded that they received everything and my review will take 48 hours. Today it’s the 20th and my account is still paused, I called customer care again and this time spoke to Thapelo and he told me to re-do everything I have been told to do initially because it wasn’t loaded in the system. 8 days later. Capitec is so ***********, I hope this review assists anybody is considering this bank as an option, DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. When you open an account you don’t go through all the hassle. I wish I had read the reviews before hand. All my hard earned money is blocked during the festive season, I can’t even pay my bills.
On the 31st of July 2024 at 14:50pm I received a message from Checker60 confirming that my order was delivered yet I did not receive my order. I immediately called the delivery guy Shingirai Mukarombwe and asked him where he left my order and he kept on insisting that he dropped it off while he hasn’t. He drove back and still **** and insisted that he dropped left it by my bin then the story changed and he said he asked our neighbour to give us the order. Why is it my neighbour’s responsibility to give me an order from Checkers60? The neighbour denied receiving any order from the delivery guy and there is no evidence proving that my order was delivered there. And why was it delivered elsewhere when my address is correct on the app? This isn’t the first time I have issues with this service, a few weeks ago one of the delivery guys left my order outside my yard and one of the residents stole it before I could walk out to collect my order and I was credited for that order. This is such an inconvenience for a service that is meant to be convenient. I called the helpline and 3 hours later I am still waiting for the “escalated” complaint to be attended to. This is utter nonsense.
I went to Piza ē Vino Lynnridge and this is by far the WORST Piza ē Vino in Pretoria. We waited for our food for more than an hour, left unattended at that. The food didn’t disappoint, it was the quality pizza that we love from Piza ē Vino generally but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth for other reasons. On my mother’s birthday, while I am highly pregnant and all I literally wanted was to order more drinks. We had to beg for service from multiple waiters and waitresses and we still didn’t get assistance. Eventually our waiter by the name Chamu came to our table, after we had to force him to attend to us and he told us that he is busy with our customers and we must to take it up with the manager he doesn’t care. That level of arrogance is astonishing, and revolting. We are paying customers as well and we all deserve to be prioritised. The training these waiters and waitresses underwent is concerning because the level of incompetence in this specific establishment is crippling and the confidence that we should take it up with the manager is what concerns me more than everything else, why are they so comfortable disrespecting paying customers? I could have walked out if it wasn’t ******* to just leave without paying the bill. We struggled to even get the bill to our table as nobody would attend to us. I have never experienced such mediocre service. The manager came to our table eventually and surprisingly professional considering my observations of how the staff members conduct themselves, but at that point I have had enough. He apologised and personally handed us our bill. I couldn’t get out of there quick enough. I always opt for the Piza ē Vino in Irene Village Mall, they understand hospitality and they are not inhumane. I stumbled across this one because it was the nearest one to us as I have recently moved to Silverlakes and being highly pregnant we didn’t want to go too far. It was the definition of WRONG TURN. It is so disheartening because the restaurant is so well presented, the manager was welcoming from upon arrival, the food is the great quality we are use to but it isn’t enough for me to ever want to go back there again, they don’t need my money. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment.
This “Hotel” is pure ****ery if that was an existing word. The worst hotel experience thus far. One star is an exaggeration, I can’t comprehend why and how this hotel is still in business with such bad service, you would swear it is run by the mafia based on how much they do not give a ****, the price is exorbitant for the service I received. The staircase to the room is dark at night, I almost lost my front teeth getting up the stairs, I had to rely on my cell phone flashlight. When I returned to my room after 6pm, my room was not cleaned, the reason was that they didn’t have a spare key, who’s responsibility is it to make sure that they have access to the room? I left at 8am in the morning. They couldn’t clean the room for the 10 and a half hours I wasn’t there. The TV didn’t have a remote, I had to ask a colleague to borrow me her remote to at least watch TV in that miserable hotel, it was so cold, I had to go back to the reception area to ask for a heater and they gave me the most low budget fan heater which barely worked. The coffee station is on the bedside pedestal, including the kettle. I had to go ask for a shower gel/soap, it wasn’t included the bathroom. The room didn’t have a single mirror, No hangers in the closet, The glasses were so revolting. The restaurant didn’t have a waiter or waitress Gift Chef had to assist us invariably. I was vexed with this hotel. Nadia the receptionist and Gift the Chef are too good for this place, If they leave, that hotel will be on its knees. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY. I will make sure that our company escalate this matter further.
I read through the reviews now before typing my own and I wish I had done so before entangling myself in this situation I’m in right now with Telkom. I noticed that they don’t even bother to respond to client’s reviews because they genuinely do not give a ****. I had a contract for a year with Telkom for a sim card with unlimited calls and data for my business and after it expired I went to the store in Woodlands Mall to ask them to renew my contract and the lady who assisted me said there was no need because from here onwards they will deduct month to month and if the transaction in unsuccessful they will terminate the month to month. Silly of me to believe that. Over a year later, without even using the sim card I noticed that they still deduct money every month, on the month that they decided to deduct double, it didn’t go through and I only took notice then. I went to the store to ask them to terminate the damn month to month deductions and I was told to pay off the debt first, I paid and they’re still deducting money for services I do not even use. I have no words but defeat and endless stress 😂
Woodlands Place is the pits of hell… So many contradictions to the rules. I barely sleep due to high levels of noise from neighbours fighting, loud music at odd hours of the night or from cars, and the damn stray cats everywhere… What happened to the “no pets allowed” rule? I’ve seen HOUSE CATS, a dog and rabbits. Beer bottles everywhere, dirty corridors FOR DAYS on end, the person who cleans only comes by every other week and the owner(s) is/are quick to respond that a cleaner comes by every week. It’s filthy. This place feels more like a student accommodation. The building lights are barely on, during load shedding it’s a torch game to just walk into the building, the stairway is DARK!!! Although some buildings have lighting. When I asked the maintenance team about it, I was instructed to report it. How is it my responsibility to make sure that the OUTSIDE lights are on? With multiple play grounds included in the complex, you still find children running into the road with a moving car approaching. It makes driving in the complex an unpleasant feeling because they appear out of nowhere. Some children play in the corridors, by the parking lot with a soccer ball and that puts our cars at risk for a broken window and more. Speaking of cars… I’ve seen people washing cars in the parking lot yet we have a designated car washing area. You have to pay somebody to wash the car for you, why are we not allowed to wash our own cars there? With my line of work (Media) Woodlands Place has been in my ears for a few months now, with drug dealers being spotted there. Yet we go through the “vetting” process. Too many loopholes here. My neighbour’s car headlamps were ****** while it was parked at the visitor’s parking, and according to my investigation, nothing was done because the ******** managed to avoid cameras, why do we have “blind spots” in a SECURE COMPLEX? The rent was increased literally a month after I moved in, the following year which is now (2023) it increased with a THOUSAND RAND😂, I REGRET renewing my contract because when I moved in here it wasn’t this bad. Once you sign that contract it’s game over… It’s like a prison here, you can’t move out before your contract ends because you’re liable to pay extra fees and the loss of deposit which most people never get back anyway according to my neighbours who left, I won’t hold my breath. Initially as a marketing strategy, they said we wouldn’t pay for deposit. The rent was reasonable but due to new walls they put up to create a yard space for ground units, we must pay for that. Blue Stream lifestyle estate and other neighbouring estates charge the same price and slightly more but you get way more. I can not wait to move out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Do your research, do not ignore the reviews, good and bad, if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be living this nightmare. To the owner, (or whomever responds) Please do not patronise me with your response, I know what’s stated in the contract, this review is solely for people who deserve to know the truth, I have no intentions of lambasting this complex but the management is inhumane.
