One item was missing from my order last December and that item was never sent to me even after I called them minutes after receiving my order. I didn't make a big fuss over it and told them to either send me that missing item the next time they're delivering in my area or to give me a coupon for the value of that missing item and neither was done. Communication isn't the best. My first order was also delivered late and the items I needed were urgently needed. Again, I didn't make a huge deal over, this despite the inconvenience. I sent them a WhatsApp message on the 19th of December and my message is still unanswered up till now. I don't think I'll buy my baking supplies from them again for the above reasons.
I've been with mweb since 2018 and their Internet speed has always been slow all year round! Changing ISP is too big of a hassle for me so I just stayed with mweb for all these years despite numerous price increases. I did complain about the speed to mweb a year ago and they told me to upgrade my router which I did and the speed was even worse than before. I switched back to the old router and tried dealing with slow Internet but damn, I'm so tired of it. I pay for 100Mbps UP & down and most of the time I don't even get 10 Mbps on the second floor of my house. How can anyone one play video games on 200+ ping? Gaming and streaming is frustrating as heck. I tried logging in today to adjust the channel on the router to see if I can get a better speed and suddenly, It's not accepting my password. I know I have the correct password since I stored it in a secure place and triple checked, making sure I'm typing everything correctly. I tried calling their tech support but it's always impossible to get an agent on the phone. Usually I wait 40+ minutes on the call before my airtime runs out. It's like they have less than a dozen agents working there. I do know people are still on holiday but mweb is always like this regardless of time of year. I even tried chatting to an agent on their app but the chat feature never works. Never got an agent on chat even once. I don't recommend mweb if you're looking for a reliable ISP.
I bought a fresh cream 2 days ago. It wasn't my first choice but I chose it as a backup in my pnp order since almost all the fresh cream brands I normally use was sold out. I was preparing a dessert for tomorrow and when I opened the cream, the smell was putrid. The smell was literally like barf. It had a layer of thick cream at the top and water that stunk at the bottom. So gross! Yes, I checked the expiration date and the cream still had some time on it and it was never opened until today. First and last time purchasing your products.
Sad to say, but this brand doesn't even deserve half a star. Vuse has gone from my favourite to one of my most hated. Quality has consistently been poor after the new pods were introduced. I feel like I throw away money whenever I get vuse vapes. Nowadays, I only ever get vuse vapes if my favourite flavours of ignite and Airpops are sold out. I'm always left disappointed and unsatisfied with vuse. The device feels clogged from the very first pull. I've noticed this with all their vapes but it's especially prevalent in the 700 and 1500 puff vapes. Their vapes also last for 2 days max, even the 1500 puff one, and I'm not a heavy vaper at all( literally vape once or twice a day) . I also get a lot of spit back once the vape is unclogged and I taste oily liquid on my tongue and lips. The vapes get clogged again after the spit back and it's so freakn annoying. Selling such terrible quality isn't okay. Vuse vapes have become a total waste of time and money. Vuse vapes used to be my go-to before their supposedly new and improved pods were introduced. Even the old flavour was so much nicer. The new taste is sickly sweet and makes me feel gross and super thirsty. I hope they improve in 2025 and do away with these new vape pods that are downright awful.
My parcel was given to an extended family member who was at my house on the day. I had no idea that my order even arrived since the family member forgot to tell me nor did I think my order would be given to someone other than me, without that delivery pin. How can you give my parcel without asking for my delivery pin? If a stranger was waiting outside my house, they probably would've given it to them. This order was a makro order that was cancelled days ago. I was supposed to reject the order upon delivery like makro advised me to do, and I couldn't do that because you guys just gave my parcel away without getting my delivery pin. Now, I have to make a trip to makro for the courier guys negligence. The box also arrived in pathetic condition. Box was not only wet but torn on the sides and covered in black stuff.
Terrible delivery times even though I'm a paying Takealot More subscriber. Ordered items on the 12th of December, and the delivery date was set to the 22nd of December only after checking out. The system gave me an early date before checking out and minutes later, I see the date change to 22 December. All items in my order were in stock and in my city so what was the hold up? I called within 5 minutes of placing the order to cancel, and they said its not possible at this time, and I have to wait for the delivery sms to cancel, which is utterly ridiculous. Now I must wait for the delivery SMS to cancel and wait some more to be refunded. Frustrated, I reached out to them on Twitter and asked why my delivery is taking so long to arrive if all items were in stock and in my city. In their response, they didn't address the delivery issue at all. They rudely told me to cancel the order once I get the delivery sms, and that was it. I messaged again to ask the reason for the late delivery, and I was ignored. Takealot doesn't respect customers and treats us like jokes and yet we keep using them. I've had so many issues with them this year. I was sent mite infested dog treats at least a dozen times on different occasions. I had issues returning a product that was never used but opened. They never accepted that return even though it carried a 12 month warranty and was within the 30-day hassle free period. I returned the product within a week and they refused to accept the return and then accused me of using the item when I told them I had to open the box to check the item. I then asked for proof of use and dark curly hair was planted on the product. My hair isn't that colour or texture! No one in my house has that hair colour or texture so what the heck? I've also had takealot force me to use 8k credit on their app after I returned a faulty stove that took over 2 months to get checked and refunded. After the return for my stove was finally approved, takealot insisted that they weren't able to refund my card because my bank rejected their deposit and they put that credit on my takealot account instead. I wasn't about to buy a stove from takealot again since the first stove was nothing but problems so I went to my bank to find out if what they're saying is true, and the bank told me that's lies. We have a business, and no client has ever had an issue making payment to me. I then asked takealot for proof of payment like my bank suggested, I do, and they never sent it to me, but suddenly the issue got resolved almost immediately, and they were able to refund my bank account only when I asked to see proof of failed payments. I asked again for the proof of payment, wanting to see these alleged failed deposits, and guess what? They never provided me with that no matter how many times I asked. They only sent me the proof of payment for the successful refund and then ignored the rest of my mails. Takealot has turned into such low lives. I've made the switch to amazon recently, and their delivery is incredibly fast. I also get free delivery most of the time, and my orders arrive within a day or two. The only downside of amazon is the fact that they don't have everything like takealot does. I want a place where I can buy everything from. Hopefully, amazon will improve on that next year.
My custom-made phone case arrived today, and I was really happy with how it turned out. I even left a 5 star review here, and then when I checked my case again, I noticed a little spot that had already peeled off. I know this spot wasn't here when It arrived because I sent a picture of the case to a friend who was interested in getting his custom made case from Kase artists and didn't see the peeled spot in the picture. Disappointing quality. I don't think this case will last very long if it's already peeling on day 1.
Never buy a univa stove unless you like your food and baked goods burnt to a cinder. The oven and stove are horrible. It gets super hot and burns everything, even on the lowest settings . After complaining to univa, they finally sent out a technician after countless calls of me hounding them. The tech came and found an issue with the temperature. On an invoice I was sent, which stated that the temperature gets 20 degrees hotter, which is normal for this model( just telling you guys what was written down). How can that be normal? How are we supposed to know that 180C is actually 200C?. If a temperature is set to 180C, then it should be 180. I was then finally able to log a return, which took 2 weeks to be collected! I literally had to call them every other day to get them to pick it up. I spoke to several unprofessional agents who had no idea what they were doing and kept promising to get back to me but never did. This happened time and time again. I wasted hundreds of rands calling these unprofessional people. I'm now waiting over a week for my return to be credited. I was told to respond to an email to rush up this process and did, but no one bothered responding back to my email ( It's been 4 days since that email). This whole process from getting them to come out and check the stove to getting a credit for my return has taken well over a month and still waiting for my credit! Please DO NOT waste your time, money or energy on this pathetic brand. They will sell you garbage and ignore you if you need aftersales service. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional bunch in a long time and put this here to warn people to steer clear of Univa appliances. Please don't make the same mistake as me. This brand and staff will give you nothing but disappointment and frustration. If you've already made the mistake of buying a univa product that's obviously defective/not in good working condition, and they refuse a return within a 6 month period then I advise you to report them to the NCC. This company needs to start treating customers better.
Despicable customer service Their customer service is downright awful. I spoke to an agent named Tabo. He just doesn't listen l, I called thrice from the 13th of August and yet he makes me repeat my query to him thrice.As someone working in customer service, how can you not have any listening skills? Basically, my query was the beeno maple bacon mallow treat is flavoured incorrectly. The maple bacon flavour is actually peanut butter flavoured. Ive had this problem on 3 or 4 occasions The product Looks like the purple and white maple bacon but smells exactly like their peanut flavoured one. I knew something was up when my dog refused to eat this treat that he usually adores.The point is, if I paid for something, I expected it to be what it says on the packet. This issue is an ongoing one, I ended up giving away tub a few packets because it was peanut butter flavoured and not maple like it says on the packet. I still have 3 unopened packets to have beeno inspect. I called tabo once again yesterday, and guess what, he fails to respond to me via email like he said he would. I literally responded immediately to his, and I'm still waiting on his response. I called once more today on the 23 of August and Tabo picks up my call, I ask him why he didn't get back to me. He apologises and tells me to hold the line. He puts me on hold for 8 minutes and then cuts the call. What terrible service! I finally got ahold of an agent who sounds like she cares. Hoping she sorts out my query. This maple bacon treat has been a firm favourite with my dog and it's disappointing to get another flavour. If I wanted the peanut butter flavour, I would've bought it. I've wasted money on this product on multiple occasions because of beenos incompetence. I will file a complaint with the national complaints commission if this matter isn't sorted out. We should be getting what we paid for right? As someone who supported this product and brand for over a decade it's very disheartening to get such terrible customer support. If my dog didn't like this particular product so much I'd stop supporting this brand altogether. If my issue isn't resolved, I will look for alternatives. I'm already put of this company after reading all the reviews on hello Peter. I had no idea this company was this bad. I advise others to report them to the NCC when finding things like fishing line in a dog biscuit. That's ridiculous! If it were a human product it would've been a big deal.
I was quite sick yesterday and decided to order something for dinner. The driver left my order at another address when my address is displayed on the front of my house as clear as day. It's hard to miss, and no courier has ever had a problem with finding me. I called the help center, and they said they'll get back to me in an hour. Come an hour and no one called, and I'm super hungry and annoyed. I then checked my neighbourhood group chat on WhatsApp, and thankfully, an honest neighbour posted, asking if anyone ordered from checkers and didn't get their delivery. I then had to walk to his house to get my groceries and he said he asked the driver twice if he's sure the address is right. I basically fetched my own groceries in my sick state and checkers didn't even want to refund me for the delivery fee!! I basically had to find my own groceries and I get nothing for the inconvenience when I'm a loyal customer who orders at least one or twice a week. Pathetic service. I will never buy from checkers 60 again. I rather support pnp, they never done anything like that to me and have refunded me my delivery fee when they couldn't fulfill my order on the day. I know it's only a delivery fee which isn't a lot but it's a matter of principle.
