So my mother shows me an sms that you guys sent today threatening to blacklist me for an outstanding account that I am not aware of and you added extra fees too. How can this be possible when you guys NEVER sent me ANY communication with a bill to pay neither did you CALL ME. I did not even know that there were outstanding fees. Then you give a reference on the sms only to find it’s linked to a Prudence Gumede who’s clearly not me so how can I trust that it’s really my bill? Worse you are using numbers that have been inactive for 15 years. How the heck is any of this my fault? Kindly advise urgently as it is against the law and totally unacceptable to add fees or take any action to an account where you have not even communicated with the client.
Thank you for the assistance so far but you were too quick to close the case. I have received the emails but there’s still a discrepancy in the accounts statement. My mom pays R156,02 and then she was charged R100.88 for penalty however there is a R191,01 that appears to be an unauthorised upgrade that I clearly stated my mom never wanted so can it please be removed and the correct contract amount be added so that we can pay and have the contract finally terminated. Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.
I’m utterly disgusted by this network provider’s services. I don’t know what’s worse, hiring *********** staff who don’t know how to do their job or letting employees manipulate the elderly into taking unwanted products. For months my mom has been paying for data services she has been trying to cancel since feb 2024. She got a call around January were an agent tried selling a new product to her to which she blatantly refused explaining that she is retired now however agent decided to go against my mom’s wishes and upgraded her package, fine she let it be. Now bills are ranging from R150 to +-R700 randomly on a monthly basis with no explanation given to her. Everytime Vodacom fails to debit from her account on the agreed date, even though there is money available, they charge her penalty fees for their own negligence. The store employees are just useless they couldn’t even explain their own account statement to us. There is absolutely nothing more we want from Vodacom except to cancel this stupid contract. It’s surprising yet highly disappointing that a company like yours can fail to do one simple think but quickly jumps to the difficult parts. I’ve been answering numerous calls from you requesting a recording from 18 October 2023 which will state whether I am liable for that fee or not. To date still I have not received that recording yet you keep telling to pay. You said the recording will be made available at client’s request but for the past three months you failed to do so. Just last week Tuesday I spoke to your agent again reminding them that I requested a recording but instead of sending a recording email you send me threatening emails. Wow!!

I wanted to make an arrangement for their debit since it’s December and we got paid early and she gave me options I could choose from and once I had chosen a date she processed it swiftly without any hustle. I don’t know between you and MTN who’s trying to play games with me. I have wasted airtime trying to call you guys but if I’m not either told to call 2 or 3 days later because there’s no feedback yet then your agents drop MY calls. It’s been almost two months since I returned your product and within time however you guys are taking your time to return my money. I don’t receive any feedback even though your agent blatantly choose to lie to me and tell me that “you will receive feedback within 24 hours from this call”. Well guess what, it’s 12 days later with constant calls in between and still no feedback. All I want is my money back as discussed way back in June when I spoke to Amanda. You have what is yours now give me back what is mine.
