I have been a loyal First for Women client for many years. Recently, I was surprised by a significant increase in my premium, alongside a rise in my basic excess to R9,100. While First for Women clarified that the additional excess of R7,500 only applies if someone other than me or my nominated partner drives the vehicle, and that their fixed excess structure offers more financial cer*****y compared to percentage-based excesses from other insurers, the substantial premium increase remains hard to justify given my low-risk profile. I chose First for Women because your brand promotes security, trust, and fair treatment of women. However, this increase feels opportunistic and disproportionate to the actual risk I represent. My premium went up significantly despite the fact that my vehicle, a 2021 Volkswagen T-Cross, depreciates in value every year. This yearly depreciation should logically reduce the premium, not increase it. I have made only two claims ever with First for Women. My vehicle is equipped with a tracker, securely parked in a locked garage within a monitored complex, and I drive very little as I work from home. Although I appreciate the detailed explanation regarding your premium basis and coverage, the increase still feels disproportionate to the actual risk I present. Consequently, I have changed to a leading insurance company whose premiums better reflect my circumstances and that communicates more transparently. I hope First for Women takes this feedback seriously and works towards improved transparency and fairness for loyal clients in the future.
I have never been this mistreated in my entire life like the way San-Marie (SM) treated me at DRSA. (The Dachshund Rescue South Africa). We've all had toxic people dust us with their poison but this was more like a drenching experience. She is NOT the right person to rescue and place any animals for that matter. She places animals and removes them because of her own selfish needs, it's all about the money. She makes arrangements and goes back on her word, people pay expenses while fostering and she doesn't reimburse them, she owes people money and she never pays them back. As a rescue agent, you should always focus on the mental and emotional state of the animal to ensure they are 100% ok after any rescue. Standing up and fighting for the animal involved, SM started harassing me, calling me names, was called "evil", and not right in the head, threatening to damage my business name and that I will never have work again, and severely verbally abused me. She honestly doesn't think what she says to anyone. She bombards you with hundreds of messages letting you know what a horrible evil human being you are. She's all over the place. I will also lodge a complaint because my personal information was distributed to a complete stranger without my consent. I have had enough now. As a business, she failed to comply with POPIA. She cannot show proof that I gave her consent in any way (as I haven't) and I have the full right and will be lodging a complaint. I will never in my life ever deal with her or DRSA again. The amount of disrespect, harassment, abuse, and messages you receive is absolutely outrageous. So if you enjoy and are a sucker for being treated like a piece of "****", do business with them, you won't be disappointed. She aims to succeed in this department. For me, I'd rather trot to Hell on a fast horse with a porcupine saddle than have anything to do with her ever again.
