For an organization that is trying to do their best on saving our little dachshunds, they doing a great job, its a hard organization to be in when saving animals, its probably one of the most stressful things to do, witnessing what is happening to the animals out there and watching them not get adopted due to age or whatever. They do a great job with what they have.

I absolutely loved dealing with SanMari. She is thorough and caring and her no nonsense approach in finding homes for these precious little dogs might not be for everyone but it is ultimately about the best interest of that animal - which is all that matters. I appreciated how she asked tough questions, looked at every aspect of the situation and fit and made sure matches are long-term. Also keeping in mind she is doing this without profit and because she has a heart for dachshunds. She is an excellent judge of character and I would recommend her over and over. She gave sound advise - kept everyone in the loop and stuck by her own rules while keeping everyone else accountable.

I cannot believe the mistreatment I have received from SM. This isn’t even a legitimate NPO. It’s an NPC. She is able to pocket donations and MANY vets will not work with her. She claims she will sue for defamation but is the one that is defaming people online by supplying their phone numbers and exposing their names. She can “expose” others but others can’t do the same? She is a hypocrite and has ********** people skills. She is pushy, nasty and her policy is written in such poor English. Her policy will never stand in court. Also, her business card has “rescue” spelled incorrectly. Few rescues are collaborating on her downfall and it would be so immensely fascinating to review her “organisations” bank statements. How can a woman home an animal BEFORE it is sterilised and vaccinated? There are over 600 comments claiming her dislike on various platforms. Unfortunately, she is so delusional she does not care and truly believes she is in the right. I would call her but I have been blocked. I feel very sorry for those who a. Surrender their dogs to her b. Adopt a dog from her. C. Vets and companies that place their trust in her. Her ability to go from one extreme to another in such a short space of time is worrying. Do not adopt a dog from this woman. Go through Dachshund Haven or legitimate NPOS. She is a con, bully and ******. Unfortunately I cannot prove the ****** comments however her remarks of “blacks dont know how to look after dogs”. (Few have also mentioned her ****** comments on Facebook). In my 43 years of life, I have NEVER come across such a despicable woman. She clearly does not understand the term defamation. People are allowed to express their views. Unless it is proven that someone’s words or actions have caused a financial loss, this woman has 0 chance at fighting and winning in court. Also, 500+ people gathering together would absolutely annihilate her and her ****. It is unfortunate this organisation is not shut down but her Karma will come soon and this woman will push to blame everyone but herself. If you or anyone you know has a bad experience, please join the Facebook group “conduct unbecoming”. The group highlights that you are in fact not insane and SHE is the issue.

I have never been this mistreated in my entire life like the way San-Marie (SM) treated me at DRSA. (The Dachshund Rescue South Africa). We've all had toxic people dust us with their poison but this was more like a drenching experience. She is NOT the right person to rescue and place any animals for that matter. She places animals and removes them because of her own selfish needs, it's all about the money. She makes arrangements and goes back on her word, people pay expenses while fostering and she doesn't reimburse them, she owes people money and she never pays them back. As a rescue agent, you should always focus on the mental and emotional state of the animal to ensure they are 100% ok after any rescue. Standing up and fighting for the animal involved, SM started harassing me, calling me names, was called "evil", and not right in the head, threatening to damage my business name and that I will never have work again, and severely verbally abused me. She honestly doesn't think what she says to anyone. She bombards you with hundreds of messages letting you know what a horrible evil human being you are. She's all over the place. I will also lodge a complaint because my personal information was distributed to a complete stranger without my consent. I have had enough now. As a business, she failed to comply with POPIA. She cannot show proof that I gave her consent in any way (as I haven't) and I have the full right and will be lodging a complaint. I will never in my life ever deal with her or DRSA again. The amount of disrespect, harassment, abuse, and messages you receive is absolutely outrageous. So if you enjoy and are a sucker for being treated like a piece of "****", do business with them, you won't be disappointed. She aims to succeed in this department. For me, I'd rather trot to Hell on a fast horse with a porcupine saddle than have anything to do with her ever again.
