Dear Peter, I purchased a Hyundai i20 2020 model on 22 November. Within one month of purchase, I noticed that the reverse gear makes noise and reported the matter in January. I was booked for inspection in February. At the dealership I was informed to pay R1100 for diagnosis and later advised that repairs would cost R13,400, stating that this is outside warranty. I would like to formally request that this vehicle be repaired under the Consumer Protection Act Section 56, as the defect was reported within six months of purchase and existed shortly after delivery. I am currently still driving the vehicle with the same fault because I cannot afford the repair cost. Please confirm urgently when the vehicle can be booked for repair, failing which I will escalate the matter further with the Motor Industry Ombudsman and National Consumer Commission. Kind regards
I brough a car there last year November 22- 2025, the was 6400km and still in good condition so fresh but while i was driving i experience gear making noise especially reserve and other gears are fuss while driving..i booked for check up January and February took for service they told me i must pay R1100 for dignose and R13500 for gear repair..they never explain anything about the problem they said it was once fixed the same issue and warranty is not covering the mechanical issue ..within 6 months they claim i could be driving pattarn i asked them how could i damage a clutch gear within a month been driving so now i must pay please help hellopeter
I brought a bed of sleepmasters in 2020 a year after the warranty, I couldn't enjoy my beauty sleep because the bed was already damage and brought the bed R5000 and I insisted to buy at the certain retailing shop but the sales lady advice me to buy it and my brother had the same issue with the bed and he took it back to get a new one..
Telkom is making a great progress of implementing or installing network towers around the rural areas, and combine with other networks to increase better services around the areas but my worry is cruel people steal from that tower were they take uninterrupted power supply so I urge for telkom to increase more security and protect their equipments, because we appreciate their new developments
MTN customer agent they have attitude and not helpful and hey don't have telephone etiquette... Also again when you brought a data they don't allocate it and their system said it's went through but in my phone it doesn't
I edge for telkom to have their own signal tower all over South Africa, because they have good DATA packages to offer to customer but at the end we not enjoying DATA due to signal issues and they had to accommodate also with people living at the rural areas, because with telkom package you can open lot of businesses that's required more Internet services..now telkom is relying on Vodacom Towers and sometimes Vodacom it has its own network issues, so it means 3g network it will be bad to connect with on telkom data
