More a cry for help than a complaint at this stage. I've been trying to get my income verification reviewed for change of installment to the appropriate bracket. I have been assisted by Misa on 17 April and Noqobile today (24 April) via WhatsApp. Both told me that my e-mails containing the relevant documents "are being referred to the relevant department and I will receive feedback within 2 - 3 business days". I can't wait 2-3 business days for the next few months because I can't afford the installment based on income I don't receive. From a legal standpoint I don't understand how Discovery claims that lying about your income will lead to ******** charges, but they are allowed to take way more money from us even though they sit with all the proof of income (or lack thereof). It doesn't make sense to me at all, and it is really concerning...
I have been phoning out my airtime trying to remove my number off the list (which I have been informed is not possible). I am sick of receiving 5+ calls a day all from different numbers. I'm not a client and I didn't put in a request for a loan. STOP CALLINING ME!!!!!!!!!
Sent an enquiry on the 7th of March, and still no feedback. Deeply disappointed as this delay is going to cost me money I do not have.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered and paid for a laptop through makro that was supposed to be delivered today. DPD laser said the tracking number isn't on their system and makro must sort it out. I confirmed with the 3rd party seller that DPD laser did indeed collect the laptop on the 13th of March and that the OD number + tracking ID was correct. How does this even happen?! Beyond frustrated.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered and paid for a laptop that was supposed to be delivered today. Makro said this morning that they can't help me, so I followed up with the 3rd party seller and courier company. After several calls to makro by myself, they said "it's out of stock". I confirmed that the laptop was indeed collected by DPD laser the 13th of march. After several promises from makro to phone me back with feedback today, I'm still waiting and my laptop still hasn't been delivered.
I was assisted by Marvin. The service was excellent and assistance was prompt. Always a pleasure to deal with MiWay. 10/10
From the very first time I app**** at Capitec, I told them my salary date is the last day of the month. Every single month I get calls and sms' that I need to pay on the 25th. I've spoken to agents plenty of time and each time they confirm that my salary date has been changed. Pathetic service.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The loan application process has been cruel and traumatic, to say the VERY LEAST. I app**** for a personal loan online on the 30th of April 2025, which to date is still not clearly resolved. I had to follow up with Standard Bank numerous times, because consistent feedback wasn't provided. I spent hundreds of rands on airtime, and countless hours on the phone trying to get this sorted, to no avail. I have been told that my docs and loan was approved, then rejected, then approved again. Spoke to several agents, all saying different things. Eventually I was sent a contract by Nwanbisa Mbinda on the 22nd of May, and was told by her (and another male agent) that they are awaiting the payment date. The contract is electronically signed and dated on behalf of me by the agent I spoke to as agreed. However, Dineo Hermans and DFC told me this week that my payslip has been rejected and my loan isn't approved. I am severely disappointed in the process Standard Bank follows, telling clients all is approved and the money will be paid shortly, just for them to backtrack and reject it at the very last second (not to mention rejecting docs which has already been approved). Financial difficulties are already extremely stressful, and wavering between approved and rejected caused a lot of emotional distress for me, as well as negatively influencing my daily life and studies. I ask herewith to consider adjusting this awful and cruel process to a smoother one that gives a clear answer without weeks of distress and unclarity to the applicant.
I had an alarming experience with an agent called Zakkiya on the Discovery website chat function. I followed up with regards to submitting pay bracket docs, which was submitted by me a month ago, and I never heard back from Discovery. The agent kept explaining what "pay bracket" meant, instead of giving me concrete feedback. The agent tried to convince me that my bank statements show various sources of income, which isn't true at all, as I only have 1 source of income. She told me the money I transferred to my savings account (taken from my only source of income) was an income paid by someone, as well as another transfer I did (named investment by myself) showed "income from an investment". This encounter was extremely alarming, as I can't help but wonder how many Discovery clients are conned out of their hard earned money daily by *********** agents like these.
